A Summer To Remember Chapter 3
This is a good one... hope you like =)
It was going on two weeks and our trip was half over. But it wasn't much fun. It was like everyday after we met Crystal and Lorenz they would come over. We would go out with them and every time I was stuck with Lorenz. Don't get me wrong Lorenz is a great guy and cute too. With his baby blue eyes on the verge of being gray. His tall and slender body, his smile was just as beautiful as Gavin's. He made me laugh and seem to have a genuine interest in me. Not just for my looks but my personality too. And he would try to make me smile every time I looked down. Lorenz is great, but this was mines and Gavin's last trip together and I wanted to be with him.
We walked back into the house around ten after spending yet another day with Lorenz and Crystal. I was tired from walking all day. Crystal dragged us to Six Flags and rode every ride with Gavin. Then while Lorenz and I were in the bathroom she and Gavin went off without us. Leaving me alone with Lorenz again. I didn't mind it so much now. I was really starting to like him and I knew he liked me.
So while Crystal and Gavin were off doing what ever, Lorenz won me a giant teddy bear. He was sweet, but he also had this edginess about him that I found sexy. We met back at the front gate by chance. Crystal seemed disappointed at the fact that she didn't have anything to take home with her and I did. I smiled at her displeasure. We all piled in my rental car. I let Gavin drive while I sat in back talking with Lorenz.
"Man I'm beat." I said walking in and flopping onto the sofa with the teddy bear.
"You and Lorenz seem to be getting close." Gavin said grabbing a bottle of water out of the fridge.
"Well I had no choice but to get to know him. Since he's the one I'm always stuck with."
"That's not my fault... Crystal's always dragging me away."
"You could say no you know."
"Yeah... and you can say you miss me." he said sitting down next to me.
"No I don't... I'm quite happy with hanging out with Lorenz. He's fun and makes me laugh." I said smiling.
"You like him don't you?" Gavin said sitting up straight.
"No... I don't know... I might." I said blushing. Gavin got up and walked upstairs with a look of hurt and anger on his face. I ran up the stair after him with the little energy I had left. "What's wrong?" I asked.
"Nothing." he said walking out onto the balcony.
"Obviously something’s wrong... you won't look at me... Gavin."
"Remember how I said you missed me... well the truth is I miss you. I don't want to keep spending time with Crystal. She's... she's-."
"Pushy... obvious... desperate looking." I said.
"Right... and who wants to be with someone like that. Plus she's not-."
"She's not what?" I asked.
"I don't know." he said walking back into his room.
"I miss you too, why don't we leave early tomorrow and do something just the two of us." I said with a smile. Gavin smiled and my heart melted.
"I'd like that." he said. Gavin hugged me and kissed me on the forehead.
That night I slept in my room alone with thought of Gavin and Lorenz. I woke up the next day at seven. I hopped out of bed and walked over to Gavin's room to wake him up. But first I walked over to the bathroom rubbing my eyes. I opened the door and what I saw I did not expect. Right there in the middle of the bathroom was a naked Gavin. I was completely stunned I turned around and ran back into my room. Gavin came walking in with a towel on.
"I'm so so soooo sorry." I said looking at the floor.
"Have you ever heard of knocking."
"I didn't think you were up yet." As he stood there and spoke all I could do was stare at the towel around his waist.
"Steph are you listening to me."
"Huh?"
"What are you staring at?" he then looked down and saw his towel was slipping. "Maybe I should go put some clothes on."
"Huh... I mean yeah... clothes." I said. After he was out of the room I smiled and laughed. Not because he was a disappointment in that area, but because he wasn't. I was pleasantly surprised.
All morning I avoided looking at Gavin. I knew if I did I would start smiling. We ate breakfast in silence. I didn't look up from my plate not once.
"Look I know you saw something this morning that shocked you, but was it so bad that now you can't look at me."
"It's not that it was bad... it's just... the thing is I wasn't expecting what I saw." I said with a smile.
"Oh so you're embarrassed." He then started laughing.
"Why are you laughing... it's not funny." I said starting to laugh myself. So there we were, the both of us. Laughing uncontrollably at the table. I was nearly in tears by the time we stopped.
"Okay... now that, that's out of the way, maybe we can get out of here before they come over." Gavin said pointing in the direction of Crystal and Lorenz's house.
"Yeah... lets get out of here." I said smiling and picking up my plate and putting it in the sink.
We decided to visit my father before going to Six Flags again. I mean who doesn't love Six Flags. My father was surprise to see me so early in the day. We talked for a while Gavin was being entertained by the staff.
"So how's things going with Gavin and the house?" my dad asked.
"Great." I said with a sigh afterward.
"That didn't sound great. Is everything okay with Gavin?"
"Why do you assume it's Gavin... it could be the house."
"I'm your father and I know when you're sighing over a guy and a house. So what happened?"
"Well... Gavin and I haven't been spending much time together alone." I said.
"So that girl... what's her name been getting in the way."
"Well yeah... kind of. I was only trying to be nice when I agreed to hangout and now she's over everyday. The only good thing is I get to hangout with her brother. Who his nothing like her. He's sweet and funny, and she's pushy and loud."
"So what I'm hearing is you have feelings for the brother, but you're also jealous of the time the girl is spending with Gavin."
"Jealous... why would I be jealous?" I asked taken back.
"That's a question you need to answer yourself." he said giving me a hug.
After spending another tiring day at Six Flags Gavin and I were surprised to see Crystal and Lorenz sitting on our porch. As we pulled into the driveway I could see Crystal was not happy and Lorenz just looked embarrassed.
"Hey wassup?" I asked getting out the car with a stuffed monkey around my neck.
"I'm sorry I told her we should've left." Lorenz said.
"Where have you been?" Crystal questioned Gavin like she was his girlfriend.
"That's none of your business." Gavin said walking away from her.
"Excuse me... what did you just say to me?" she said.
"I'm not your boyfriend, so leave me alone." Gavin said walking into the house.
"Lorenz we're leaving." she said clearly about to cry.
"I'll call you later... okay." Lorenz said walking home after his sister.
I walked into the house and started to laugh. Then it hit me I was happy Crystal was heart broken. When I should have been sorry for her and in there telling Gavin to apologize. But I didn't, instead I grabbed a bottle of water and went upstairs and sat on my and read the book I got from my mother. At sat on my bed reading when my phone rang. I sat my book down and answered it.
"Hello."
"Hey whatcha doin?" It was Lorenz.
"Reading." I said.
"Oh... well don't let me interrupt you." He was just about to hang up.
"Wait." I said.
"What?"
"Do you want to do something now?" I asked.
"Well I do have two tickets to the Chris Daughtry concert." he said.
"Shut up... you have tickets to the Chris Daughtry concert." I said in disbelief.
"What do you say... you wanna rock out with Daughtry?!" he asked in excitement.
"Yeah!" I shouted.
"I can't hear you!" he said.
"HELL YEAH!!" I screamed causing Gavin to run in and see me jumping up and down on my bed. "See you in a few." I said hanging up the phone.
"What's going on?" Gavin asked.
"Lorenz has two tickets to the Daughtry concert and he asked me to go." I said pulling clothes out my drawers and closet.
"Oh... I mean that's awesome." he said. I was to busy trying to find something to wear I didn't notice how upset he was. After a half hour of getting ready I was out the door and on my way over to get Lorenz.
At the concert we were so close to the stage, center row F. It was great I was having so much fun. Lorenz and I sang along to every song. It was the best night of my life. After the concert was over Lorenz said he had a surprise for me.
"Do you know what these are?" he asked.
"Back Stage passes! Are you kidding me!" I screamed.
"My dad was able to hook us up." he said smiling.
"Why are we standing here... lets go!" I said taking one of the passes.
All while we were back stage hanging with the band I was smiling and Lorenz was smiling at me. It was almost two in the morning when Lorenz and I decided to head back.
"Well I never saw it comin, I shoulda started runnin, a long long time ago." I sang as we drove.
"Did you have fun?" Lorenz asked.
"Are you kidding... that was great." I said with a huge smile on my face.
"I'm glad." he said smiling.
As we pulled into my driveway I noticed Lorenz staring at me.
"What?" I asked looking at him smiling.
"You're so beautiful." he said.
"Thank you." I sat there a moment before getting out the car. I was walking up the walk when Lorenz called my name.
"Yeah?" I asked stopping and turning around.
"I forgot to give you something." he said.
"What?"
"This." Next thing I knew Lorenz was kissing me. It was one of the best kisses of my life. It wasn't sloppy and it wasn't a peck. It was soft with a bit of pressure. It was prefect in every way. "Goodnight." he whispered in my ear. I walked into the house. My knees were so wobbly I could barely walk. I couldn't walk upstairs, so I just laid on the sofa for the night.
