A Strange World
A narrative poem written after I had a confusing dream.
Strange Indeed!
I can’t understand
What does this mean?
A strange World.
I don’t know
What I ought to know
I can’t see
What I ought to see
I feel strange gestures
Right inside me
And frightening structures
Buried around me
I feel like screaming
’Cos am in the world
Of metaphysical happenings
That I cannot understand
I feel like something
That I can’t explain
Is holding me down
Down in that place
I heard strange sounds
And tried to respond
But was stopped
By this strange hold
I tried my best
To loose myself
And I found myself
Struggling with this world
I couldn’t hold it any longer
I loosed myself unconsciously
And found myself
In the real world
A real world indeed!
Filled with real things.
I can’t understand
What does this mean?
A strange World.
I don’t know
What I ought to know
I can’t see
What I ought to see
I feel strange gestures
Right inside me
And frightening structures
Buried around me
I feel like screaming
’Cos am in the world
Of metaphysical happenings
That I cannot understand
I feel like something
That I can’t explain
Is holding me down
Down in that place
I heard strange sounds
And tried to respond
But was stopped
By this strange hold
I tried my best
To loose myself
And I found myself
Struggling with this world
I couldn’t hold it any longer
I loosed myself unconsciously
And found myself
In the real world
A real world indeed!
Filled with real things.
