Chapter 8 - Talent Show

Weeks had passed and Katie has been practicing on bed. She has been very weak after she went to the hospital. Nick and Will go to her house everyday just to hang out and practice. She usually lies in bed, but if they get lucky she sits up. Those weeks that passed have been hard for everyone who cared about Katie. Emily usually visits from time to time feeling sorry because she always used to make fun of Katie.

It was the day of the talent show. Katie called Emily on her cell phone. "Hey Katie." Emily answered. "We need to talk." Katie told her in a sad voice. "Be there in 5 minutes." Emily said. Katie hung up the phone. She went to the bathroom and began to throw up. She looked so pale. She also lost a lot of weight. Emily had an extra copy of the key. She went straight to Katie's room. She saw Katie in the bathroom. "Let me send you to the hospital." Emily suggested. Katie shook her head. You... do you love Will or do you love Nick?" Katie asked. "Neither." Emily said. "You need to help me Emily, I need your help." Katie said crying.

"What do you mean Katie?" Emily was worried. Katie got up and sat on her mirror chair. "I'm leaving both of them, I need your help. I'm running away with a friend." Katie said. "Who? Who is the one that gave you this idea?" Emily said. Katie ignored the question and began putting her makeup. "Answer me." Emily spoke again. "A person." Katie said. "Why are you running away?" Emily becoming noisy. "Just do me a favor, I don't have more than a week to live Emily. I need you to take care of both of them forever." Katie said. Katie's phone began to ring. She looked at the screen it was Ben. "Emily can you go, I'm sorry I don't want to be rude, but this is an important call." Katie said. Emily wiped her tear and nodded her head. "I pick Nick." Emily answered and ran out.

"Ben..." Katie said. "Yeah it's me, are you nervous?" He asked. "More than ever." She said. "Don't be... trust me there's nothing to be scared about." He advised her. "Are we still up for today?" Katie said. "Of course." He told her. Katie took time to answer, she got really tired. "Are you okay?" Ben asked. "Yeah I'll talk to you later, I'm.. mm I'm getting ready." She said. She didn't wait for a bye she just hanged up.

***Time Passed***

Beep, Beep. Katie got down the stairs. She opened the door and saw Ben was out. He was at the door. "Hello." He said with a smile. "Hey." She said. "Are you ready?" He asked. "I was born ready." She said as a joke. They went to the car. He began to drive. Katie looked up and saw a window at the top. She looked at Ben and smiled. "Go for it." He said. She unlocked the seat belt and opened the door. She took a deep breath and raised herself. She started to shake her hands. There was a police. He screamed, "Get down." She just waved to him and gave him a smile. He smiled back and pointed his hands down. She understood that he meant get down. She didn't want Ben to get a ticket. She got down. "Practice your song." He ordered. "I don't think so." She said. "Come on." Ben said. "My song is a surprise and it's for you Ben." She sang. He stared at her. "You are already mine." He said. She smiled.

***The Talent Show***

"Hello everyone and welcome to the talent show. I don't want to take long with you but we got crazy dancers, signers, and other stuff today to show you." The producer said. Everyone began to clap. "Yes, they have been practicing for a while. We will start with solos." She said again. "First solo is Ben with a song. He's not from this school but he made this poem for a girl in this school, also Ben has been here before last year. Everyone started to clap. Ben got out. He went to the mic. "Can I have Katie Green please." He started. All of a sudden a girl goes to Katie and pushes her to the stage. "What's going on? Ben..??" She said. "You can sit on this stool." He said. She did as told.

"This song is for you. Katie." Ben said. He looked to his side and whispered to her, "Only for you." Katie was shocked. She didn't think Ben had feelings for her. "Here it goes, it might sound like a poem but it's a song." He added. He sat on a stool and began to play his guitar. "There you go standing there at the front door. Staring at me like I was some crazy kid. My thoughts became blank. I haven't been thinking about anything else since the moment I saw you... You're all that's in my mind and only will be... forever, my feelings are hard to say because they never come out the way I want it too.... your smile your thoughts, your jokes, your everything it's just perfect... This song has come to an end because there's so much I would like to say but not in this song, I want to say it to your face... not in front of the whole school... Katie Green you're perfect... I don't know if that's the way they say it but you are." Ben sang following the rhythm. Everyone from the audience got off there chairs and clapped. Katie and Ben stood up. He said, "I wanted you to know you're everything to me." Katie was in her own thoughts she didn't know what to do. She really liked him but she still was confused with her feelings. She said, "I really liked you from the moment I saw you, but I was and still am taken." She looked down. He lifted her chin and kissed her. They heard whistles. They bowed and got off stage.

"What the hell just happened?" Nick said to his brother. "Sorry it just happened." Ben said. "I quit you be her partner." Nick said with anger. "That was the plan little brother." Ben said with a smirk. Will walked in he didn't know what happened because he was out smoking. "Nick what's wrong why you leaving so early Katie didn't do her solo?" Will asked in a worried way. Nick just pushed him. "Get out of my way Will, it's all your fault. I feel in love with her." He said. Will ignored and went in and sat with the audience.

It was Katie's turn. "Hey everyone it's me again. Ben... I snuck the mic from the producer she's looking for it... shhhh... anyway to my point before she comes... give a special applause to my girl... Katie Green." The producer went it. "Hey you." She screamed. He went in through the other door. The music stared. Katie got out. She stood in front of the mic and just froze. Will said, "Katie you can do this." Katie still froze. Ben out of nowhere got out. He stood by Katie. He grabbed her hand. "I know I can't take one more step towards you... cause all that's waiting is regret." Ben began. Katie smiled. Ben didn't sing anything else he just stood by her side. "Don't you know I'm not your ghost anymore... you lost the love I loved the most...

Everyone clapped. They bowed.
They went backstage. Katie felt dizzy, but she didn't want to show it. She just closed her eyes as she sat on a chair. Ben knew everything about her, how she feels everything. He was like another part of her. He ran to her and carried her. "Stay with me Katie don't go." Ben cried. Will was going to the backstage. Ben was running. Will ran after. "What... where are you going?" Will screamed. "She choose me now leave." Ben screamed as he opened the school door.

Will stopped running. He was confused. Everyone was. Even Ben was confused. He put her in the car and began to drive. Katie woke up. "What happened.?" She asked. "You fainted right when I went to you... lucky huh?" Ben replied. "Where are we going?" She asked. "Where do you think we're going? We're going to the hospital." Ben said. "Nooo, noo I can't go there Ben please... anywhere but there." She screamed. "Why what's wrong." He asked. "I don't want to go there." She said. "Fine I have a place to go there." He said. She smiled.

He took her to the cabin. "Nicks cabin?" Katie said. "You know this place." Ben said. She nodded. They went in. Ben fired the wood at the fireplace so it can heat the house. "Ben I love you." She started. "I know, but do you know that I love you more?" He said. He put blankets on the floor in the living room where the fire and TV were and two pillows. She went straight to it. "What would you like to watch?" He asked. "You." Katie answered with tears in her eyes. Ben laid down next to her. They stared at each other every second they got closer. They began to kiss.

There was a knock on the cabin door. The two were half-dressed. They were so shocked they were wondering who it was. They got dressed and acted like nothing happened. Katie stayed laying down. Ben went to answer it. "Where is she?" The person, who was Will, asked. "In" Ben said. Will walked in and went to Katie. "Are you okay?" He asked. "What are you doing here?" Katie answered with a question. "Here to take you." Will said. Katie shook her head. "I want to be here I want to tell you I chose Ben Will Ben." Katie said. "No your feelings are just confused that's all." He said.

Ben was standing there just staring and the two wanted to punch Will. "Will, she said she chose me the one that knows everything about her, the one who loves her. You can go now but thanks for everything." Ben said. "What's your choice?" Will asked. Katie looked at Ben and smiled. "It's Ben, he's the one." She said. "You can't go to other guys every other day Katie, you have to stick with one." Will said crying. "I made my choice and this choice is for the best Will..." She said also crying. The two had feelings for each other but Katie didn't want to break his heart like the other girl he dated did. Will nodded his head. "One thing then, make sure you fight because I will be praying and fighting with you." He said. Then he walked away. Ben locked the door. "Katie ignore him." Ben said. "I... " Katie began to talk but with deep breaths because she was weak. "I... need... water..." She said. Ben ran to the freezer and got her ice-cold water. He put it in a cup and added a straw. He also held the cup for her and the straw. "Ben, where were you all my life?" Katie said. He laughed.

That night Katie lost her virginity to Ben. She didn't regret it because she did like him and she knew him very well. She also thought that she would fall in love with him if they did it. She woke up very tired. She looked to the other side and saw Ben still sleeping. 'Of course, it was amazing.' She said to herself. She got up but she had a wheelchair to sit on. She was very thirsty. She reached for the cup but dropped it. She was so weak she couldn't hold a glass cup. Ben woke up. "Katie? " The first word he said. He got off the floor and went to her. "You could have woke me up, it didn't matter." He said. "I didn't want to wake you up... you looked relaxed and happy." She said. She drank the water he poured for her. Katie's phone began to ring. Ben ran to it, but fell on his way. Katie started to laugh. He looked at her. "See what I would do just for you to laugh?" Ben said. He picked up the phone and looked at the screen. "It's Emily." He said. "Answer." Katie said.

"Hello," Ben said. "Give me Katie." Emily said. "Damn rude much." Ben said. He handed Katie the phone. "Hello don't take long my hands are really tired to keep it up." She said. "Will moved out-of-town and Nick is nowhere to be found. What happened last night." Emily said. "Will... Nick... Last night?" Katie said. "Yes do you know where they are?" Emily asked. "No how do you know Will left the town, he was where I am last night?" Katie answered with a question. "His mom called me and said that there's nothing in his room not one shirt... wait where are you?" Emily asked. Katie hung up the phone she couldn't hold on any longer. Ben didn't even ask what happened because he didn't care. He made breakfast. He brought the tray to Katie. "Last night was a day I won't ever forget." Ben said.

"Me either." Katie replied. "Katie were you sure you wanted to do it? You looked... I don't know sad." He said. "Are you crazy? If I didn't want to do it I would have told you to get off... end of topic... mmm don't you have work?" She said opening a new topic. "I work with my brother Nick in his company... I'm supposed to be there in like 20 minutes." He said. "Go don't be late because of me look I'm fine, happy too... go get ready." She said. Ben got up and gave her a kiss. "You're coming with me Katie." He said running up the stairs. After 10 minutes he came back down. "Katie there's a nice bubble bath waiting for you in the bathroom... maybe it's waiting for the both of us." He said. He was walking to the living room. He saw Katie gasping for air. He ran to her and carried her. The hospital was like 2 hours away for even if he gets there she will die on the way. He didn't know what to do. He ran upstairs and laid her on the bed. She whispered, "Go..." He didn't know what to do.

He began to do CPR trying to give her air. He stopped. He carried her again and ran to the car. He began to drive in high-speed around 90 m/ph.

Out of know there was a person standing on the middle of the street like he knew Ben was driving fast. He turned the steering wheel and lost control of the car. Katie and Ben knew who it was, they saw her face it was Emily. He crashes into the woods and hits a tree. Ben didn't put his seat belt on and flew out of the car from the front window. He flew in the air very far from the car. Ben was very smart and put Katie's seat belt on but she still was bleeding. Police came after hours realizing the smoke in the air. No police go past the woods because it was no use. There was usually no one living here.

***In the Emergency Room***

"Time of death 10:45 pm." A doctor said.

Chapter 9 - It's Either Win or Lose

I think this chapter sucked. Hopefully not.

The doctors called the friends and family of the person that died. Everyone came to the hospital wondering what's going on. The doctor sat everyone down in the waiting room. "Hello everyone there's something you all deserve to know." Doctor said. (Will calls him Doctor Zero because he's known as the worst doctor.) Will, Nick and Emily were there too. Will looked around the room looking for Katie and Ben. "Nick where's Ben and Katie?" Will whispered. Nick ignored trying to hear the doctor. "There has been an accident... a car accident." Doctor Zero spoke. Everyone in the room gasped in the air. Will became very worried. "Who was in the car?" He asked. The doctor didn't know how to speak it was like he knew the two. "Katie Green and Benjamin." Doctor Zero said. Will went crazy he got up and ran to the doctor.

He pushed him to the wall and held his fist up. "Zero you better tell me she's okay." Will said. Nick pulled Will and sat him down. "As I was saying, the car was found in the woods, if it wasn't for police officer Jake, both of them would have died, but luckily we saved one." Zero said. The doctor took a deep breath and said, "Jake says or predicts that Katie because she has cancer was dying or something so Ben took her to the car and I guess speeded and lost control because there was an animal or something." Will got angry. "Don't blame Ben. It's not his fault, it's not his fault he wanted to get here to help Katie. The hospital is about 2 hours away from that cabin." He screamed. Doctor zero looked at Will. "Cabin? What Cabin? You knew they were there?" The doctor asked. Will nodded.

Nick spoke, "It's me and my brother's cabin. I guess they slept there the night." Will huffed as tears came down his cheek. "Well that will be told to the police, well there was one survivor for now but that survivor is in a coma. The survivor is Katie." The doctor said. Ben's mother and Nick began to cry. His mother stood up and began to speak with sadness, "My son, my son, Ben, Benji." She cried. Emily looked at Will and whispered to his right ear, "Everything will be okay William." She held his hand. All of a sudden a different doctor came running to doctor Zero. He stopped and took a trying to catch his breath. "What is it?" Will asked. Will looked at the doctor's face and knew what was happening. He began to run anywhere he looked at the windows of every room. The doctors began to run. He saw and followed them.

As for everyone else, they sat down and either waited to see what happened to Katie or were crying for Ben. Will snuck in the room but from the window because it was opened. The helping doctor pushed Will to the side. He stood crying. "Clear." Doctor Zero said using the electric machine. "Clear." He repeated. The beeping sound stopped. Will sat down and cried. "We don't know if she would wake up, she's still in her comma son." Dr. Zero said. Will sat down for hours not moving or eating. He just stayed crying and looking at Katie. She opened her eyes. "Ben." She whispered. "Ben." She repeated. Will noticed and said," Katie it's Will." Katie closed her eyes and said," Wi..." Then the beeping sound came out again. Will got off his chair and ran out the door. "Help anyone Help." He screamed.

The closest doctor ran in. He kicked Will out. Will sat against the wall waiting. After 20 minutes the door opened. Will got up and looked in. The screen and machines were off. "Sorry son, her tumor was too much for her to handle, time of death 2 am." The doctor said. Will ran in and held her hand. "No... No... Katie come back... don't you dare go... don't leave me here... Katie... Katie!!" He cried. Emily walked in and sat next to Will. "That's exactly why she left you. She didn't want this to happen when you guys were together." She said. He shook his head as a no. "Your love was crazy for her but now it's time to move on and become strong... Look she's gone... forever." She spoke again. A policeman came in. His tag said, "Jake." "Sorry to interrupt but we found this in the drivers car in his safe." He handed it to Emily. It was a ring case. Will looked at it and snatched it from Emily. He opened it and saw a folded paper and a diamond ring. He handed it back to Emily.

She read it out loud, it was written like this,
"I was thinking about this all night Katie...
I was thinking there's nothing wrong about it.
Katie Green I have fallen in love with you...
And after last night I think you have too.
...I'm no good with sweet words...
But when I'm with you, all that matters to me is to see...
That beautiful smile of yours...
See what you have done to a guy like me.
Katie Green will you make me the guy of your life?
Will you marry me??"

Will looked at Katie then at Emily. "She would have said yes you know." He said. Emily nodded. He wiped his tear and got up. He kissed Katie's forehead. "I'm here all the time." He whispered. He looked at Emily. "Let's go?" He asked. She smiled. She stood next to him. He grabbed her hand as they began to walk.

***Four Days Later***

It was the day of the funeral. They put the two next to each other. On Katie's stone it wrote, "A girl who graduated, who fought, who won a guy she loves, who became a role model to many people a note from people, we love you Katie." As for Ben's stone it had said, "A guy who Katie loves, he has respect, cares about everyone, he was perfect, and words from a brother, I love you -Nick." After the funeral Emily and Will went walking. Nick went the opposite way. His mother had an arranged marriage. She thought it was the best for him. As for Will and Emily they became a couple.

***About 5 Months Later***

Will was sitting down where Katie's stone was. He went there to speak what's in his mind.

"Hey Katie it's me again, I got news. I'm going to be a father of two." He began to laugh. "To the same girl... twins can you believe that? She's four months already... I'm going to ask her to marry me... but I don't know when... I really do miss you."

He stopped talking because he felt someone from behind touch his shoulder. He felt her. He turned his head and saw no one. Then he heard someone talk, a whisper. "There has been a secret hid from you and you are meant to know it. But you have to ask her to tell it to you. Will there's something you need to know... love her as you like... me and Ben are happy... I really miss you too... Go to her. "Then she goes. He got up and ran to his house. He ran in and saw Emily. "Is there something I need to know?" He asked. Emily said, "...there's something you need to know... and maybe it will ruin our relationship, but I'm not the type of girl who will hide a secret for this long..." Will got up and stared at Emily in a weird way. "I killed Ben but I didn't kill Katie, Katie died because of cancer not from the car crash... I was in the middle of the street and Ben lost control... I caused the crash and I didn't tell anyone. I just ran away... I went to the cabin and sat there for hours... William that's not the point. The secret is I killed Ben." She cried. Will sat down and was blank. There was a commercial on TV, Nick was on it.

"Hey everyone... I'm doing a commercial about my life I guess... I don't know really... I told the camera people there's something important and I had a script and everything... but actually I have a message for two groups of lovebirds... if that made any sense... anyway I'm here in Washington with my wife... we expecting a boy another four months... the name we're planning to name it is William... after you Will... I heard you and Emily are expecting twins... you go man! Shit... I got to go man a guy's screaming at me... ooh yeah all you little kids when I said that weird... I meant poop... bye."

Nick goes and comes back. "Ooh yeah, hey Emily... love you too... missing Katie and Ben... Bye.." Then he goes.

"You are a murderer and I don't want to love someone who killed my friend. Katie was right, there is something you hid from me all these months Emily. How could you do that? You're a stalker. You knew everything what was going to happen. I bet you even hacked on my email and knew where I was going every time I went out." He screamed. She shook her head. "No... No... I don't want to do anything with those in your tummy, Emily we're over." He added. She began to cry. "No... she's gone why do you even care about her... these are your kids." She refused.

"She's gone but she's still in here." He said and put his hand on his chest where his heart was. She looked down. Will left that day. He was so angry, he called the police. "There's a girl named Emily, she killed Katie and Ben five months go..." He continued the story. He told the officer where she lives but he didn't tell them who he was. That day Emily got arrested for the murder. She is in jail for five years. She did give birth to those twins, she named them Katie for the girl and William for the boy. Sadly, she chosen that she wasn't ready for kids. She put them for adoption. William chose to adopt them, since they were his kids. He never let them out of his sight. Also he never saw Emily again.

Well for all those readers, I think this wasn't bad for my first story. But I did make another one. It's called "Crazy life." It's about a sixteen year old girl being abused by her mother. I think it's better than 'A Stalker'. If you didn't like this story maybe you would like the other. Check it out! If you don't like the first chapter it doesn't mean you have to continue reading.
