A Sonnet: Meaning of Life

Our life is not in vain; it has a specific meaning.
Why do we live, can anyone say?
Living a life as wide as a bay,
What is the meaning of all this?
As death curls before us with an angry hiss.
Is it just to be born and die,
And waste time as days pass by.

No, that’s not all in a life.
It is not just to live a life and survive.
We were sent here to think our mind off
From the very day that we lied on a cod.
We must force the bad thoughts to doff.
And must present ourselves before Almighty God.
And to Him we should begin to pray.
So, before sun sets, make your hay.
Did you like my poem?
Of course.
Yes.
I have no opinion.
No.
Hell disgusting. I hated it.
