A Social Studies Teacher

I stare at the clock
And try to stall my time
I’m sick of school
Social Studies should be a crime
I look at the wall
Like I’m thinking of the answer
No, I do not know

The definition of financier
It’s not my fault
I’m not a fast reader
And it’s not my fault
You can’t work the heater
You think you’re real smart
And you think it’s not cold

But who cares about a man
Who’s past a hundred years old
I’m tired of Social Studies
And finding why this guy died
I’m tired of Social Studies
Knowing how this person lied
You barely know the answers

Yet you talk like your all that
You walk the halls with that glint in your eye
You just seem like a big rat
I’m not a fan of Social Studies
I barely have a clue
But with your look of pure loathing
I’m not a big fan of you
