A Slayer Like Me Wears Designer Clothing

The hail fell harshly on me. My hands scraped against the road as I fell. As I opened my eyes I saw a car come hurling towards me. My body was too damaged for me to react so all I could do was watch the car skidding closer and closer to me. It stopped mere inches from my face. I heard crashes, horrible crashes, horns blaring, people screaming.

A crash sounded to my near right. I looked up and saw fire. Suddenly, someone grabbed me by the arm. It was Rachel. She was sobbing, her eyes red, with scrapes and bruises all over her.

"We have to go now!" she cried.

I couldn’t speak, my lip was cut and bloodied and my tongue felt heavy in my mouth. As she grabbed my hand and tried to help me up, pain shot through my body.

"Ah!" I moaned.

Chaos consumed all that was around us. I didn’t see the creature anymore, I didn’t know where it was or who it had transformed into. Somewhere in the distance a baby was crying, wailing horribly. I clutched my side and muttered an oath as Rachel helped me to stand up.

I saw the faint yellow paint of our taxi and limped towards it. As I got closer, I saw the creature half hanging out of it, its grotesque face masked in agony and its head bent at an awkward angle. I lifted its head up to get a better look at its face. Its skin was grey, flaky and slimy. It was disgusting. As I lifted it’s head up, I got a good look at its face. I didn’t know what it was. As my mind raced through the possibilities, its jaw slowly opened and a black moth flew out.

I stood there in shock. Rachel had seen it too.

"That’s impossible," she whispered.

I couldn’t say anything, I didn’t know what to say. But we both knew what that black moth symbolized.

Death.

This was no ordinary creature. This was Unseelie.

Rachel was crying again, "What do we do?"

I looked all around me, it was still hailing. Suddenly an ear-piercing scream filled the air and my head whipped to the right. A woman was running blindly, the yellow flames licking every inch of her body.
Ignoring the pain, I rushed to her and tore off my coat. I patted her down, until most of the flames were gone. But I was too late, the woman had turned into nothing more than black musk.

A siren sounded somewhere in the distance. I was breathing heavily now, my side aching horribly.

I looked at Rachel, "Are you hurt anywhere?"

She shook her head, "Just a few scrapes."

"Good, we have to get out of here before the authorities arrive."

As we began walking, a tingle rushed over my body. I shivered uncontrollably. I looked behind me and I gasped. He had appeared out of nowhere.

He was godly, he was…he was perfect…tall and angelic, where Damian was dark, he was light. Long golden hair brushed delicately along his magnificently sculpted chest. A white cloth that was embroided with gold hung around his waist going down to just above his knees. A golden arm band fitted nicely along his bicep.

He looked around, an angel amidst all the chaos. His skin looked like it had been dusted with gold and his amber eyes penetrated mine as looked towards me. He smiled at me, his perfect white teeth showing. It stopped hailing now and instead it was raining, but not one drop fell upon his perfect form. He walked smoothly over to me as and stopped mere inches away from me.

He had a small tattoo, what of, I’m not exactly sure, but it stopped at the corner of his left eye. I just stood there, hypnotized by his beauty, by his ‘alieness’. He breathed in, as if he were memorizing my scent.
"A woman," his golden voice whispered. He brought his hand up as to trace it along my cheek, I felt his warmth all over my body. I didn’t move, couldn’t move and didn’t want to. I forgot the fire behind us and the screaming sirens in the distance, I forgot Rachel was standing there….

I forgot my name.

His hand, although not touching my cheek whispered gently along, warmth seeping in its place. His lips, looked so warm…so inviting. I leaned towards him. But that’s when everything went wrong.
As I leaned forward, his lips mere millimeters from mine, he hissed and fell away from me. His face so frighteningly beautiful yet dangerous at the same time.

"You are a slayer…" he hissed.

Suddenly, he was slowly vanishing into the air. My brain woke up at that moment he was disappearing in front of me, going back from where he came from. I needed to find out who he was, what he was doing, so I did the only thing I could think off I reached out and grabbed him.

"NO!" he roared.

The angel screeched, that one loud, but terrifying sound broke through me, shattered my thoughts and I was suddenly fully brought back to the world. The red light of the fire truck flashing a few kilometers away, the sirens were getting louder and louder.

The angel collapsed to the floor, writhing in pain. I wanted to help him, but I didn’t know what to do, I feared that touching him would only make things worse. He clawed at his flawless skin, lumps forming along the side of his body. Suddenly, something was clawing from within him, his face twisted in agony, I saw a black mark, it was…it was coming out of his skin, it twirled along his stomach, up along his rib cage to his arm to touch just the side of his face. Then all at once, it stopped.

My eyes were wide as I stared at the form on the road. He was still just as beautiful, his golden hair spilled out against the black concrete of the road. He stood up shakily and stared at me. The left side of his body was covered with an intricate tattoo of a dragon.

"You’ve marked me…" his golden voice whispered. "I’m marked…" he said, "By a human!" he hissed.

He lunged at me with such a speed and agility I couldn’t blink, but my slayer instincts reacted. I shifted to the left, so that I wouldn’t get the full impact of his blow, but just as I did, his body came in contact with mine.

And before I knew it…

We were falling…

And falling…

I hoped you enjoyed it! Sorry it was so short. I think that I'm gonna write short chapters(a bit longer than this one next time :P :P) but that way I"ll be able to post them on here sooner and faster.

I hope you enjoyed this
