Nikkitasha thank you! I hope you like this chapter.
I'm really sorry that its' taken me so long to get back to this story, but I realized that I'm not very good at multitasking so I finished one of my other stories first.
Chapter 4 part 2
"Jade, you're not gonna lose my friendship. I really like you, but I'm not ready for anything like that." I bit my bottom lip nervously. He smiled and stroked my cheek with his thumb.
"I understand." He pulled me close and hugged me. The bus pulled up and we got on, sitting towards the back in the same seat. I recognized with a sinking feeling that new kid rode this bus. Does he really have to be pretty much everywhere that I am? I thought. I laid my head on Jade's shoulder, hoping that new kid would see and leave me alone.
He sat in the seat in front of us. He turned slightly in his seat. "So, Jessie," He said, laying emphasis on Jessie. "Are you okay now?"
"Yeah I'm fine."
'That's good. I guess I should introduce myself. My name is Jeremy Hawkins."
Jeremy Hawkins... why does that name sound so familiar? I asked myself. It triggered a memory, a very fuzzy memory of me playing in a sandbox with a little brown-haired boy.
But just as quickly as the memory came, it left and I was left with a confused feeling. I pushed it aside and tried to focus on what Jade was saying.
"I'm Jade. And I guess you already know Amy, or Jessie."
"So he does call you Amy!" Jeremy said looking at me.
"Yes. He does. But YOU can't." I said. I turned towards Jade.
"Why?" Jeremy asked. I turned back towards him, annoyed.
"None of your freaking business." I don't swear. I hate swearing, maybe because Daren usually swore so much that I decided I would never do it. But right now, I was so annoyed at Jeremy that I felt like swearing, but I didn't.
"Why?" He asked again. I ignored him, clenching my jaw and fists to keep from yelling and possibly punching him.
Jade could see that I needed to calm down, so he started talking. "School gets out in three weeks. What are we gonna do this summer? Since we don't have to worry about you know who getting mad if you're out to late or home to often."
"Thanks for not saying his name." I whispered, laying my head on his shoulder again. He knows I hate hearing that name. "Maybe we can go to the beach. Or go bowling. Or fly kites. Or everything we can possibly think of!"
"Ha..ha okay." He laughed and stood up. The bus ride was over. I stood up and we walked off the bus into the crowd of kids.
I said goodbye to Jade and headed to my class. Which, I had with Jeremy. Like before, he sat next to me. I basically ignored him, listening to the teacher talking about math stuff, taking occasional notes in my notebook. She handed out the homework, a page of equations. I shoved it into my folder and stuffed the notebook into my backpack, standing up to leave as soon as the bell rang.
So I finished Could He Be The One and went back to this... but this is as far as I could get... I'm stuck. And I don't know how to get unstuck.
Any suggestions??? for getting unstuck or for the story??? if not I might just stop writing this one. I really don't want to stop it because I don't like being a quitter but I just don't know where to go with this. what do you guys think???
