A Second Chance at Life - Chapter Three

The boys and their egos make their grand entrances.
CHAPTER THREE: BOYS, BOYS, BOYS

The cameras caught their first glimpse of the boys. "Ohhhhhhhhh yeah! Baby I'm home, let's get this party started." The voice belonged to a tall, lean bronzed Mexican guy with green eyes and an air about him like he owned the world. This was Randy Cruz-Dixon. A 25 year old Mexican American from New York, he had worked as a salesman at a surf shop where it seemed he had worked tirelessly on his tan and his ability to pick up chicks who walked the boardwalk outside his workplace. Randy turned out to be a complete ladies man and was always trying to catch the spotlight in a crowd. It was annoying. No one could deny his good looks and his charm, the guy was insatiable.

Seeing us on the couches, he suddenly stopped. We all knew he was checking us all out one by one and his smirk got even bigger. "Wow, looks like this is gonna be one hell of a summer!!". He laughed out loud, "Hey guys come on in already, and our playmates are already here!" Playmates? my father would strangle him.

"Dude get out here and get you're stuff, don't expect any of us to lug it all in", in walked the other three lugging suitcase after suitcase. Wow these boys had way more luggage than us girls, it was wrong I thought. The one who had spoken was 24 year old Dominic Ortiz. He too was Mexicano and (pause) the guy was a god! With cropped light brown hair and hazel eyes, fitted into a golden brown gym trimmed body, I saw Ashley was already drooling. Sadly enough though, he turned out to be liked minded with randy. All about the partying and picking up girls. I had a feeling all these guys were in the same boat and here I was hoping some of the people I'd actually be staying with were mature individuals. The other two were Logan Rino and Matt Lima.

Not long after, the room was packed with biceps and muscles, and it wasn't hard to imagine how much bigger their egos were. Logan was a 24 year old aspiring football player. The guy looked like he spent hours fixing his hair everyday. It fell to his shoulders and it was shining and smelling of a ton of hair product. He was a Chilean. Matt turned out to be not as bold as the other three, and he was the same age as me. He was kinda quiet with eyes that suggested an Asian ancestry but like Logan he too was from Chile. Matt had been working as a women's soccer team coach at a club back home when he had been cast in the show. He was the only one of the four who had a girlfriend, but even that wasn't steady so Matt like everyone else in the house was ready to party and have fun.

Holmes shook each guy's hand as they had walked in and directed them to the sofas where us girls were already stationed. Randy I noticed had already sat himself down next to Donna and Dominic next to Ashley. Logan and Matt took to the far couch.

"Welcome you all to your sweet Californian getaway, Neruda Heights, where you will be staying for the next few months. I am Charles Holmes, your host, and just so our audience knows nothing is scripted in this show okay, just normal life but the only difference is, it's in front of the cameras...just a few house rules and I'll be out of your way." Holmes it seemed wasted no time.

"Now first of all, guys can sort out your rooming arrangements later, the girls have all decided theirs. WE have one rule and that is, there are no rules...now I hope you enjoy your stay, from here on out, it's all you".
