A Sad Dog - Thinker #2 (Scary Situations - #1)

Made to help your minds think at least a tiny bit.
I pushed back on my chair when I heard the dog bark. "C'mon Max!" I shouted out the window as his ran around the backyard barking his head off. "I'm swear one day you're going to bark that head off," I muttured as I stomped downstairs to shut him up before the neighbors complained. A sharp yelp had me hurrying through the kitchen and to the backyard. I screamed in horror as I saw my dog's head rolled on the grass. His eyes were glazed over, nobody was home. Nobody would be home again. My knees buckled under me and my wary eyes glanced at the fence. I wiped the tears off my face that had leaked out and stared at the fence again. Sorry was written in sharpie. Fear gripped me and shook my brain around until I could no longer comprehend anything. My neighbor, Tim, walked by and looked at me over the fence.

"Thank God that dog shut up," he laughed and continued walking.

My hands balled in fists. Tim. I grabbed my gun, loaded it, and headed to my neighbors house. I aimed it at Tim's back and he froze. "Sweetheart. Put the gun down," he said. "Give me my dog back," the harsh words flew out of my ear as the gun clicked.
