A Red Twist for Riding Hood!

As she walked along to grandma's house
Little Red Riding Hood sang a long
Through the enchanted woods with Jerry Mouse
She hopped a little skip and changed song.

Winnie and nanny waited a while
They had a surprise you see...
Cinderella and Snow White had come a mile
With Little Red Riding to be.

Together with March Hare they spied on Sly
He had not a clever disguise or dress
Willie Wonka and Goldie Locks too came by
Now, Sly was going to be a mess.

But he couldn't change and neither could curb
His nature or hunger for nanny's fat knee
He went according to his plan without perturb
Though he had seen Cinderella and Winnie.

He knocked, they opened and wow what a sight
There were cookies and jam and bread
Instead of giving old nanny a fright
He accepted the goody offer instead.

He hogged and hogged till his stomach burst
And out popped Hansel, Gretel and Peter Pan
They ran to the ale to quench their thirst
And told all while they eyed the Ginger Bread Man!

Winnie could now hear a humming, and soft rustle
Red Riding would be in through the thicket
So he hid behind the ant-hill bustle
And strained beyond the lazy song of the cricket.

Red Riding and Jerry broke into a run
To deliver the fruits and apple pies
There were cherries and a sweet, soft bun
In return for Nana's pancakes and fries.

In the house they were in for a sight
Sly lay on the ground and Nana spoke
They talked and ate all through the night
Till little Pinocchio the silence broke

What had happened, they had changed the beat
Sly had popped much before his time or day
Never mind this one was for Happy Feet
And Shrek and Sindbad to laugh away.
