A New Career

Life sometimes, incorrectly, makes it seem what others are doing is easier, and better than what we are doing......
A New Career
I once had tried to be a poet
Not too long ago in the past,
I gave it up before even starting
I know, that was really fast.

So here I am once again
Sitting restless 'n bored 'n blue,
Trying to think of another career
Boy! Will racing cars ever do!

Got caught up in the racing mood
All ready to show the world a few things
Until I realized what I had got into
And the danger racing cars brings.

Baseball, I thought, can't be too hard
But I didn't anticipate the pain,
That was required just to learn the rules
Never mind playing the long damn game.

I fast was running out of careers to choose
But there was nothing I seemed to like,
I wanted something with glory and fame
And a nice, fat salary hike.

But fear not, my wonderful friends
For a job like that is a myth,
I shall remain here to torment you
With my lines of hopeless wit.

And whosoever can a job for me find
That fulfills all of my needs,
Well that person I shall forever remember
And reward him for all his kind deeds.
