A Memory of a Girl I Once Knew...

Ah, to be alone in a lofty hotel room,
On the south side of St. Pete.

With a whiskey bottle in hand,
While roaches race the stuckoe ceiling.

Tormented by the memories of
A young, pale blue eyed girl, you once knew.

With long locks of bouncy red hair,
She sat on her front porch chewing red liquorish...

While waiting for the school bus,
She liked your hair better shorter.

She remarked, and, "Your new girlfriend is a total slut!"
I only dated that girl to make her jealous...

I used to walk with her on her paper route,
We would cut through the woods, behind my house.

Once she claimed, she was hot and took her sweeter off...
She was pretty busty for a fourteen year old girl, as I recall.

Her parents were out of town one weekend
And she begged me to stay over...

How could I refuse?
She wore only a gray, silk shirt...

My God, I can still see her,
We tickled each other until two in the morning...
And skipped school the next day.

I sometimes wish that when I leave this world,
This memory will replay over and over again...
