A Marriage for Jeana Chapter 3
Jeana does not appreciate her tutor's attitude...
Dear Diary,
Grandmother decided to pay her sister a visit, and I am being left in the loving care of our servants. It is within my nature to be optimistic, so I was hoping that she would say that my lessons were canceled until she returned, however, that is not the case. Furthermore, if I thought yesterday was a disaster, allow me to inform you of today's infractions.
Well, Mr. Cavoltri began our lesson with the statement, " You are a stubborn wench, and with my tutledge you will be tamed!" Then, as if the statement had not been inappropriate enough, he grinned. My blood was already boiling by the time we moved on to the first lesson, which was something any good Rhode Islander should already know. His condescending tone finally got the best of me when we moved on to dancing. I fear that I acted nothing short of a complete heathen when I stepped on his toes "accidentally" about half a dozen times. Like I already mentioned, Jace is a complete pain in the ass and he does not give a damn what anyone thinks other than himself.
