A Love Was Born
This is a (completely tasteful) poetic description of passionate love.
In the blank emptiness of time and space,
A love was born, fierce and passionate.
The pair drew together with a magnetism
That obliterated thoughts of all others.
It warped the land, felled trees,
And exploded any obstacle in their way.
As each looked into the other's yes,
Nothing else existed in all the Earth or universe.
In the joining of their lives, the whole world changed.
Grass was greener. Air smelled sweeter.
Never-consuming flames engulfed them.
The sun burst forth every day,
Waking the birds to sing them awake.
Each evening it dipped its brush into the light of their love
and painted the sky in a rapture of unsurpassed color.
Flowers tipped their blooms in honor of that love.
Children and soft animals gathered to the pair
To bask in their love's warm, radiant glow.
As time went on,
Their love grew ever more fiery and passionate
Until even mountains crumbed at their feet
From their love's emanating song.
When their flames of life finally burn out,
The world will remain a richer, better place,
Full of hopes, dreams, and beauty,
All because of their love.
