Another group took sunflower oil instead of Omega 3’s and did the same exercise as the other group. They however did not lose any weight. There were two more groups that excluded the exercise, one took the Omega 3’s and the other took sunflower oil. Guess what? Neither of those groups lost weight either.

So just what are you supposed to learn from this? You should know that Omega 3 fatty acids seem to be very beneficial in weight loss but only when used in junction with moderate exercise. You could also increase your weight loss total by watching your diet.

If you follow a few guidelines when it comes to your diet, like one with few or no refined sugar, simple carbohydrates, and saturated fat, you will see an increase in weight loss compared to a diet without the guidelines.

So no matter if you are obese or just want to take a couple pounds off you might consider using Omega 3 supplements to help. If you aren’t fond of taking supplements you can simply start eating more fresh fish. Just be sure you know what you are buying as some fish contains lots of toxins.
