A Life Cut Short

I wrote this at the time a friend lost someone close to her, it inspired me to write alot of poems on loosing the ones you love…
Although this is the hardest goodbye ill ever have to say,
I’ll make it short because this isn’t goodbye at all,
It’s just the hardest separation for the longest time.
As the months drag on and the years pass by
The thought of seeing you again helps me throw
Those days when I can’t even lift my head.
And when we meet again
I’ll never have to let you go
Because we’ll be together in a place where there’s no pain,
And as we say goodbye today and lower you to your grave
Just remember this isn’t goodbye at all
It’s just the hardest separation for the longest period of time.
