A Good Night Sleep

It feels like flashes of thunder are in my head
As I sit here and cry my self to bed

I know I’m not going to sleep
So I get back up and cut my arm deep

I cry as I see the blood drip
I can’t do anything but stare at my skin rip

I look to see if "there" around
But I can’t see "them", not even a sound

I lullaby my self to sleep
And sing the words that my father told me to keep

" You’ve grown into a women now…
You’ll live in torture, that’s my vow…
If you don’t agree…
To come with me…
I’ll grab you by your arm…
And show you true harm…"
