A FREE Thoroughbred Handicapping Method that Really Works!

With this handicapping method, anyone can make a profit at the race track. By playing this system, you will be betting with the insiders of horseracing. The complete set of rules for this method is included in this article.
Most people think it’s extremely difficult to make a second income as a horse player. But as you are about to see, this is a false assumption. If you would like a betting method that is both reliable and easy to use, why don’t you check out this great little system? It only has 3 rules yet it is so simple that even a sixth grader could be successful with it.

I will show you the rules, and then I will tell you why the method works and review its advantages and disadvantages.

Here are the 3 Rules
First: The race must be a claiming race but it can not be a maiden claiming race. The way to tell if the race is a claiming race is by looking in the race conditions at the top of the track program or in the past performances.

Second: Calculate each horse’s lifetime earnings per start. Use this simple equation to calculate the LEPS: (lifetime earnings) / (lifetime starts) = (lifetime earnings per start). You can find the horse’s lifetime earnings and starts in the upper right-hand corner of its past performance listing.

Third: Bet the horse to win with the highest lifetime earnings per start if it goes to post at 8-to-1 or higher odds.

The Reasons Why this Horse Handicapping Method is Profitable
Horses have different levels of ability. So there are different levels of class in thoroughbred horse racing. If a horse is in good condition, he will be an easy winner if he is entered in a race at a lower class level.

Any horse that fits the profile of this method will certainly have been successful in higher class levels in the past. The horses selected by this method typically can not be competitive at their former class level because they have suffered injuries. So they are used by the racing insiders as "betting tools." The trainers keep racing these horses because they feel that the horses can still win at the lower class level once they become healthy again. The trainer knows that if the horse can return to its former form even for only a single race, it can be an easy winner against the lower class field in today’s race. So because of manipulation by the trainer, these horses do win and will often win unexpectedly without showing any signs of improvement. Also because of this manipulation by the trainer, these horses will pay long shot odds when they win.

The System’s Advantages and Weaknesses
This method can be extremely profitable over the long run and will usually generate an income of 20% to 30% for each dollar bet. The weakest link of the method is the percentage of winsthat will only average from ten to fourteen percent. What this means is when you use this method you should expect to see many losing streaks.

The size or number of losing streaks for any handicapping system or method is governed by the method’s percentage of wins. If for example, let’s say you were winning about 14% of the time, which is winning about one out of every seven bets. The expected largest string of consecutive losers per 1000 bets would be 34 losing wagers in a row. You would also see about 27 strings of consecutive losing bets of at least 10 losers in a row for each thousand bets. What this means to you is you should expect to be in a consecutive losing streak of 10 or more a little more than 37% of the time while you are playing this method.

Most horse players don’t realize that one of the most important factors to consider when evaluating a horse racing system is the winning percentage. If you are looking for a betting system which has a larger winning percentage than this method, take a look at "The Indicator Handicapping Method" at my website, turfanalyst.com.
