A Fallen Angel 12

Angelic is again left home alone. Hasn't the many attacks shown them better than this?
The days got longer it seemed and Daemon left periodically every weekend leaving Angelic home to deal with her pregnant self. She sighed as the old grandfather clock chimed for the alerting of 12:00 a.m. The moon shone with a sorrowful radiance as if it could feel her grief. She smiled and blew a kiss to the sky like she always did before returning to slumber for the night. "Angelic?"
She abruptly stopped and did a semi-circle coming face to face with Nathaniel.

Shock was her first reaction then sorrow then joy. "Nathaniel! What are you doing here?"
His smile faded."It's time to come home Angelic."
She frowned and immediately took a few steps backwards. " I'm not going anywhere. Do you hear me brother?"
He sighed and rubbed his temples."Father says-."
She stomped her foot loudly. "I don't give a damn what father says I'm staying."
His voice filled with grief. "You know I can't disobey him."
Tears welled in her eyes. "What are you going to do Nathaniel? Kill me and my baby?"
Nathaniel pulled out his sword with a look of sadness. "If it comes to it father told me to bring you back by force."

She took another step back and whimpered."So this is what it comes to huh? Brother against sister? Is father to chicken to fight his own battles."
Nathaniel sighed. "He is badly hurt."
She snorted loudly. "He deserves what he got."
Nathaniel rotated the sword twice in his hand. "What is it going to be Angelic. Are you willingly coming or do I have to fight you to obey."

Tears ran down her ethereal face. "Please Nathaniel don't do this."
He closed his eyes for a second then raised the sword slightly. "I must my dearest sister."
She put her hands to her plump stomach. "I'll come willingly I don't want to hurt the child."
He nodded and gestured for her to slowly open her wings.
She let out a gush of frustrated air. "I'm not going to try anything Nathaniel I'm fucking pregnant."
He gasped. "You cursed!"
She laughed sarcastically. "No, that was a good word down here on earth."

She thrust into the air and began to fly towards the gates of the over world. They glowed a vivid gold and seemed to whisper with joy. "She's returning!" They seemed to say over and over again.
When they reached the cloud bed she landed on the soft ground and a puff of fog floated around her.
"Nathaniel?"
"Over here." He gestured for her to follow him.
She surveyed the surrounding clouds and floated to the gate hesitantly knowing once she was inside she would never see Daemon again. Daemon? Can you hear me? She tried to reach him through their bond. But he always blocked the bond and she could never find out where he was or what he was doing. Dammit Daemon! HELP ME.

HELP ME! Daemon rallied up the last of the hellion horses and opened the bond to let Angelic enter him for once. What is it woman?
Angelic jumped startled walking slower to the gates. Help me daemon. I'm about to enter the gates!
Daemon immediately soared through the air. I'll be their in five seconds.
How the hell are you going to get here-.
"Just like this?" Daemon stood feet away from her closing the distance immediately. "Magic is a funny thing."
She sighed and lay her head on his shoulder. "They're going to take me away Daemon."
He smiled. "Not if I can stop it."

Nathaniel turned around to call to her and instead saw Daemon standing semi in front of her.
"What is this nonsense Angelic?"
"I'm not coming Nathaniel tell father we escaped or something."
Nathaniel looked stuck between letting escape or stopping her. He raised his sword above his head as if he was going to throw it their way; in a state of shock Angelic blocked her stomach. He smiled and made it disappear. "Be gone before I change me mind."

Angelic took a step toward him but Daemon gently took her by the hand. "Lets go Angelic."
She swallowed past the rock in her throat and looked away letting herself fall through the floor.
Daemon took some of the weight off her and when they arrived back to the house he said he wasn't going to go back to work. "Really?"
He nodded and lay her down on the bed."Rest please."
She yawned."I guess I could use some sleep."

He nodded and sat on the bed waiting for her to sleep. When her breathing leveled out he lifted himself off the bed gently and looked as the sun began to rise. "Why am I so stupid."
He looked over his shoulder."How could I leave her here? All alone and pregnant."
He banged his hand on the rail but still it made no sound. He peered into the orange globe rising and thought. "From this day on I will tell her everyday that I love her."
He smiled at the idea of her reaction. Happy? Joy? Hopefully she will love me back.
He walked back into the house laying himself next to her warm body. He stared at her until he fell asleep and the birds began to begin singing.
