A Dream Most Grimm - Prologue

Inspired by the books Brothers Grimm Fairytales and A Tale Dark & Grimm, this is a wicked twist to Sleeping Beauty. (I'm new so be gentle >.<)
Sorry this part isn't very exciting, but hey, it's a prologue and ya gotta start somewhere:

Once upon a time, a queen gave birth to a beautiful daughter. The child was in fact so beautiful that she was named Beauty.

On the day this wondrous child was to be christened, the queen invited all the lovely fairies in the kingdom to celebrate, except for one...the elderly fairy.

(Of course the elderly fairy shouldn't have been invited, right dear reader? For she was old and always complaining about hip problems, and an old hag wouldn't be fun at all. Besides, doing hundreds of years of community work and solving other people's problems doesn't amount to anything at all. It's all about how you look and how you party, right dear reader? Well the elderly fairy did not feel this way....)

The elderly fairy was outraged! After all the work she had done, she hadn't been invited just because she had a few thousand wrinkles. Well she would show them how much fun she could be.

So the elderly fairy showed up at the party, uninvited of course, and decided to wreak havoc.

Nevertheless, little young fairies had their excuses. But the elderly fairy wouldn't listen she marched straight up to the crib beauty was lying in and put a curse on the poor newborn, that if she were ever to prick her finger she would immediately die. After she left a much fairy, the only one who had not given Beauty her gift yet, lessened the severity of the curse. So that if she were ever to prick her finger, she would fall into an endless sleep in which she would never age, and the only way she could ever awaken from her slumber was if a prince were to kiss her. However, such a task would be very difficult for he would have to fight through hundreds of years of thorns and plants.

To make a long story short, the girl did in fact prick her finger and fall into an endless sleep, prince was able to get to her and awaken her with a kiss, and they all lived happily ever after. The end...NOT!

(Now that was a very interesting story wasn't it dear reader? Well it is if you're into baby stories, because I don't know about you, but I found that story to be lacking in... epicness. So, dear reader, I've decided to share with you the real tale of Sleeping Beauty; and I have entitled it... A Nightmare Most Grimm.)
Should I keep writing?
Yes!
Not sure yet.
If you want...
No!
