As said in the description, due to the number of comments about A Deadly Game, I've decided to continue this series, however, I will not update this as frequently as my others.

I know you've waited a VERY long time, but here's the chapter, it's short, but hopefully, I'll get more ideas and post the next chapter soon. Enjoy!

""" I was running through the woods, I didn’t know where to, but all I knew is that I had to get away from here fast. Suddenly something caught my foot and I tripped. I struggled and saw a pale white hand gripping it.

"Why’d you leave me?" she whispered. I barely recognized her anymore. The slashes on her face, made it look horribly grotesque.

Suddenly she grinned, a nasty bloody grin, "it’s going to get you."

I quickly shook her hand desperately off, I was scared, there was no one here to help me. I scrambled backwards, my feet were to numb to hold my weight.

My hand touched something ice cold. I could see my breath in front of me. I slowly turned around. The cloaked figure….

I was petrified. I couldn’t move.

It raised it’s sharp nails. I raised my hand just as it swiped-"""

I woke up in bed. My forehead beaded with sweat.

The door burst open and I jumped in fright. My mother came rushing into my room.

"Honey, are you all right?"

I nodded weakly. She came and sat at the side of my bed and patted me on the back, "You were screaming in your sleep…I know it’s been very hard for you…your friend dying like that. I know this isn’t the right time to say…but it might just help take your mind of things. Remember at the hospital I talked to you about a job that starts tomorrow?"

I nodded. I remembered, "I know it’s soon…but I feel as though you need to take your mind of things. I’ve gotten you a job at a camp. I’ve always known how much you like the outdoors and kids…it’s at a nice location, it’s got a beautiful lake next to a forest…-"

My head snapped up, "No! Forest…no" I shook my head for emphasis, "I don’t want to go to the forest."

My mother smiled understandingly, "You won’t be alone, you’ll be with hundreds of kids and other camp counselors. You’ll be fine," she sighed, "try…Katy, I know it’s hard but try to put this behind you. Promise me you’ll give this a go?"

I had to try like she said. This ‘Trickster’ business wasn’t over, but I wouldn’t have my mother worrying about me so I nodded, "I’ll try."

"Good," she said, obviously pleased she was able to convince me.

"And mum…" I hesitated, "Leave the light on will you?"

She gave me a sad look, but complied.

I went down for breakfast the next morning. After that nightmare I hadn’t dare go back to sleep.

"Morning Katy, are you ready for your job today? It’ll only be a week and if you want to come home early, you’re always welcome to."

I nodded.

"I’ve packed your things," she paused, "I know this is short notice and that you haven’t had much time to prepare but-"

"Don’t worry about it mum, It’s a good idea anyway. I should go."

She beamed, "Brilliant, eat your breakfast quickly, I want to be on the road by nine."

As my mum loaded my things in the car, I went back to the closet where I kept the boxes. I stared at them. They were still here, after what had happened at school…I picked one up. Just in case.

My mum honked and I rushed outside.

Nothing could happen in a week could it?

I’d be safe at camp, there were going to be a lot of other people there and kids too. Trickster wouldn’t attack me at a public place with a lot of witness.

Would he?

Just a heads up, another main character will be introduced in the next chapter, and yes, this character is a guy. So you're thinking there might be romance in this dark time? Well....you'll have to wait to find out. Sorry! I'm still tweaking the storyline a bit.
