A Deadly Game (2)

Meet the spirit of air....
Katy woke up. She stretched. Everything that happened yesterday seemed no more than a bad dream.

"Katy!" her mom called.
She quickly dressed and went down stairs.
"Yes-" she stopped short.

There on the kitchen table was a big package.
"Morning honey, this package came just this morning,"
"Who’s it from?"
"Um, I think it said Trickster or something, did you order something?"

Katy’s heart stopped. She went over and tore the package apart, there lying in the box were four wooden boxes,
‘you will be sent four wooden boxes.’
Her heart rate picked up.

What kind of sick game was this? How did he get her address?
She ran her fingers over the carvings.

She opened the box. It had a woodsy smell to it.
‘What is in the package?’ her mom asked.
‘Nothing much,’

She stuffed one of the boxes inside her bag, she didn’t want her mom to find it. She hid the other three boxes in the storage cupboard, nobody ever looked there.
She went off to school.

All during school her thoughts went back to the wooden boxes. She sighed. What was going to happen next?
When the final bell rang, the teacher called her.
"Katy.." he said

She turned around, "Yes Mr. Hacket?"
"Are you busy after school today?"
She thought about it, "No,"

"Well.. Do you think you could rearrange the books in the library, I have been planning to but I am very busy nowadays and students are getting grumpy about it.

Some of the storage boxes are in the janitor’s closet. Do you think you could do this?"
"Sure Mr. Hacket," Katy replied.

"Excellent! I’m sure Rosa wouldn’t mind helping."
Rosa, a small girl, who kept to herself nodded.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

They made their way to the library.
"I’m going to get some boxes," Rosa said.
Katy nodded. She placed her bag on the desk. She took out the wooden box. She sighed and started to get to work.

After a while, she wondered why Rosa was taking so long. So she went and looked for Rosa. As she went down the hallway, where all the lockers were located, she saw someone on the ground.

She rushed forward. It was Rosa.
Katy knelt beside her.
"Rosa, Rosa, what happened?" she asked.

But Rosa didn’t respond. The air became cold, ice cold. She could see her breath in front of her. She wrapped her jumper more tightly around her and rubbed her arms trying to create heat.

"Rosa?"

She just weakly shook her head. Her eyes were wide, with fear and horror. Katy touched her forehead. It was ice cold.

Her skin was pale and her lips were blue. Rosa tried lifting her hand, it was shaking badly, as if all of her strength was gone. She was looking at something.
"What is it Rosa?

Katy looked at where she was pointing. Her eyes went wide. There stood at the end of the hallway, a white cloaked figure with two creatures flying above it.
