A Dark Temptation 11/ Re-write
A Re-write of A Dark Temptation 11because the last one had alot of repeated phrases
The Library was closed today, that should give him some cover. He went into the library, not prepared for what was about to face him. But had the plan set straight in his mind. But the first thing he saw was Cassandra’s pure, figure standing in the middle of the room.
"Cassandra!" Eric yelled. He ran towards her, so intent of reaching her, he wasn’t careful.
Out from his side Mark jumped towards him, making him crash into one of the big shelves. It had the domino effect, shelve after shelve came crashing down. Eric struggled against Mark and managed to punch him in the face.
Eric crawled to her, but she shied away from him. "Cassandra, what-"
She rushed past him and threw herself into Mark’s arms.
Mark grinned smugly.
"It seems your Cassandra has made her choice"
Eric, couldn’t watch. "Cassandra-"
The picture looked wrong, so wrong. "Finally, you know what it is like, to loose something important to you. Don’t you think we make a great couple?"
"No! This can’t be! Cassandra! What have you done to her?" Eric yelled. Her eyes looked weird, so cold, so distant, as if she had lost her very soul………..
The, cold reality crept into Eric’s mind. She wasn’t his anymore, he had changed her.

He had to undo it, he had to. But as he looked more deeply into her eyes, recognition slowly flickered in them, a tiny bit.
He knew what he had to do. This went against the plan, but he didn’t have a choice now. He launched himself at Mark and threw him against the book shelves. He grabbed Cassandra, put her over his shoulder and ran, she screamed and thrashed against his back.
"MARK!"
He ran down the hall and opened the janitors closet, Eric pushed some shelves against the door to by time and covered her mouth to stop her screaming. He stared deep into her eyes.
"Remember Cassandra, remember the first time we met? Remember how I loved you….. Please,"
. Soon, she stopped fighting altogether and was held in his gaze. Comprehension flickered in her eyes, surprise, then relief. "Eric…" she said as she fell towards him and started sobbing.
"Shhhhhh…. Cassandra," Eric said as he held her tightly. The shelf was rattling badly, they were running out of time.
===================================
Mark banged against the door until his shoulder hurt. He gritted his teeth. He wouldn’t let his brother win, not now, not ever. With one last shove, the door gave way. But the closet was empty. He looked around the room, it was as if no one had been in there.
But then at the corner of his eye, he saw the vent, it was opened. They were crawling above him.
"You’re not getting away that easily," he said.

Eric was crawling behind Cassandra, damn, they were in a real mess, but he knew, no matter what, that he would make sure she was okay. Just then, the bottom of the vent was ripped opened, and they both fell down. Dust swirled around him as he fell to the ground with a thud.
He saw Cassandra lying motionless on the floor, just a few inches away from him, covered in dust. She moaned. Eric was attacked from behind. Mark rolled on top of him and punched him in the face hard.
Eric sprang onto him and they rolled around on the ground. They snarled and kept hitting each other, trying to find each other’s weak point. Cassandra moaned and opened her eyes at the sound.
She quickly sat up and looked towards them. They were so keen on killing one another. Only one would survive, and that’s when she knew she had to make a choice.
