A Choose-What-Happens - Story Part 5

Continuation of story created by readers' ideas.
The little flame exposed a big room full of sleeping kids, all my age. What is this place? My head turned slowly from left to right, taking everything in, until i stopped at the lantern. The lantern lit up the face of the man. I knew he did something bad to me but I couldn't find the answer in my mind. It was like it had been completely erased, completely- "Good morning sleepy head. Welcome to my little camp. This is where naughty little girls and guys go to get straightened out. Report to the cafeteria above in five minutes."

He walked up creaky stairs and rang a big bell making all the kids wake up. They each packed their blanket and pillow exactly the same, all at the same time. When they finished they all walked up the stairs in a line leaving me alone in the cold spacious room. I grabbed on the wall and tried to stand up but a pain shot through me. I pulled up the legs of my jeans and saw a red mark. I knew what this was. I would have to get this as a kid, like most, and my mom would cover it up with a cat band-aid and give me a lollipop. Yeah, a shot. Although this time I got no band-aid and no lollipop.

I limped to the stairs and pulled myself up them. Once I reached the top I followed the quiet chatter to my left. I saw a room like any high school lunch room, although all the kids sitting at the tables were a lot more behaved. Well, most of them. One table in the far corner was loud, rebellious, and exactly the type of people I wanted to hang out with. I stomped, well as much as I could with my slight limp, over to the table and sat in the one empty spot. "Someone please explain to me what is going on."

Thanks Natalie to your idea! You want to be featured in the next post? Then comment below with your idea of what the kids say to the main character (You'll find out her name soon). Every single person who commented (Natalie, Siya, Cassie J, and Samora W) had a really good idea on how to continue. Thanks so much for reading and helping.
