Like forbidden fruit,
He’s back in your life.
A changed man
And you’ve willingly agreed to be his wife.

They joy you’re feeling vanishes all the pain
I’m happy and thankful to see you smiling again…
I can see the difference in your stride
It’s now filled with hop, happiness and pride.

You’re expressions are no longer filled with darkness and hate
The kind that pieced your heart like a wooden stake.
You now have greater hope for things ahead
No longer that broken heart for someone to mend.

I wish you all the luck and happiness for things to come
My only wish is that he’s really the one.
I’ve been by your side through all the pain
And you can always count on me over and over again.
