A Bloodie Rose Chapter Sixteen Part Two

Something is bothering Zero again and Rosetta is determined to find out and when she does, she is shocked and partially confused with why Zero had been thinking about what was bothering him.
"Yeah, I know… She’s so smart, I don’t understand how she was so stupid about this," I said, slightly harsh.
He chuckled.
"What?"
"Mean, much?" he asked.
"Well, it’s true…"
He parked the car in my driveway and we went inside the house. I glanced in the living room-no one there, then the kitchen-no one in there either. I sighed in relief-now my mother wouldn’t be able to lambaste me with an interrogation to see if I had really gone to the movies or not.
Zero looked at me, slightly confused. "What?"
"I’m only glad my mom isn’t down here to attack me with questions to see if I really went to the movies…"

"Ah. She’s probably not down here because you were with me," he said, smirking coyly as we continued up the stairs.
"Because…? You’re just so trustworthy?" I said, half laughing.
"Actually, yes. She trusts me with your life, does she not?" he questioned, prevailing against me.
"Oh, stop bragging, Zero, your cockiness is showing," I said, trying to sound serious, as I opened the door to my room.
He laughed, shutting my bedroom door behind him as he entered the room. "Isn’t it always?"
"Hm… Good point. But, bad habits can be broken," I joked as I seated myself on my bed.
He smiled.
"So," I said, accentuating the length of the word.
"So," he said, mirroring my accentuation, as he sat himself beside me.

He pulled me into his lap so that my legs were stretched out on the length of the bed and pressed his lips to mine, forcefully. The force of his lips to mine was so great that I fell back ward onto the bed. He quickly adjust himself so his body was pinning mine down to the bed, as he tightly grasped my wrists. I tried to pull away, being slightly frightened by how fiercely he was kissing me. I finally pulled away long enough to say something.
"What’s wrong?" I blurted out.
"What do you mean?" he asked, relaxing on his kissing.
"You’re scaring me," I said.
He looked at me confused. "How is that? I always try my hardest not to."
"You were kissing me so… Hard… More like forcefully, actually," I explained.
"I’m sorry…" he said, quietly.
"I was only wondering why you were-are you okay?"

"I need to know something."
"What is it?" I asked as he shifted to a sitting position and secured me in his lap.
"Would you choose me over Benji?" he questioned, seriously afraid I would choose Benji.
"Of course!" I exclaimed, shocked that he would think that.
"Really?" he questioned, surprised.
"Duh, he had his chance and he screwed it up. I don’t think you would ever mess it up as much as he did."
"Are you sure about that?" he asked, voice sounding deeper than usual and extremely eerie.
"I-I think so…" I stuttered, his voice making me nervous.
"You don’t sound sure," he stated, blankly.
"It was just that the way you said that kind of made me a little nervous." "I’m sorry," he said, emotionless.

"Zero, something is definitely bothering you."
"I already told you what was bothering me."
"And what would that be?" I questioned.
"I don’t believe that if Benji came back, you wouldn’t have any second thoughts about us."
"I never said that."
"Yeah, you did."
"No. I said that I would choose you over him-in the end. I know that much-I doubt I wouldn’t have second thoughts, but I’d never leave you for him," I assured him, knowing it was the full truth.
But, why was he being bothered by that? Did he know something about Benji that he was hiding from me? Why would that randomly come up like that… Just as randomly as Benji always comes up between Zero and I… You know what? Who really cares about Benji anymore? I’m done with him. No more Benji… No more….
