A Beautiful Teenage Romance - Part 3
Natasha and Zain start their first day at the hospital, But will it go as a success? Why is Amber so mad at Natasha? Thanks for your comment guys. If my story is similar to any film, drama, my apologies. I came up with this idea myself, although it is kind of inspired by grey's anatomy, house and Gossip girl.
Natasha's P.O.V
It was him, but what was he doing here? Did he follow me? Should I confront him? As soon as I had finished thinking that sentence he was in front of me. "So you couldn't resist me huh Natashaa" He said with a chuckle. His smile was like a sharp knife "Lord save me" I thought to myself. What was he saying? What did he mean? My brain and my senses had left communicating with me once I saw his hazel eyes. "You followed me all the way here, that's a bit stalkerish". "I did not follow you, I'm an in...." Before I could finish the sentence a senior Doctor had come in start shouting " All right you new interns, time to show you the ropes", Get a move on I don't like lazy people" She ordered.
I quickly grabbed a notebook and a couple of pens from my bag and ran behind her. "Now you are here because YOU want to be, I have a strict 3 warning policy. You misbehave, your 1st warning and an additional week suspension, misbehave again and you will face 3 weeks suspension and if I catch you misbehaving a third time, well then, there won't be another warnings.
"Have I made myself clear. "Yes ma'am" I was the only one to reply. She walked up to me. "Oh and another thing" she said looking directly into my eyes. "You will not be spared even if YOU ARE the daughter of Dr Isaac Abraham" She said austerely. Zain looked at me with a shock. "Move along" shouted Dr Carlos. "So Dr Natasha Abraham daughter of Dr Isaac Abraham, huh" He said looking at me. I rolled my eyes at him and quickly moved forward. "Hey beautiful" I heard him say. "Hey" replied a female voice. It was the voice of Amber. "Dr Zain Malik!!! Shouted Dr. Carlos "This is neither a nightclub nor your previous college, this is a hospital and you are a responsible doctor, do not forget that". "Yes ma'am" he replied back softly. I looked back and gave him a wink.
After we were shown all the operating theaters, Dr Carlos took us to a cancer ward. Right there are five patients here I want each one of you to pick a patient and make notes on their illness and how you think it should be cured.
I walked over to a boy; he was merely 7-8 years of age. He had golden blonde hair, deep blue eyes and one of the cutest smiles I had ever seen. He was sitting up in his bed. I could see he was wearing a blue Chelsea football T-shirt. I smiled at him and he smiled back at me.
"What is your name" I asked him without looking at the board above his bed. "Declan, Declan Steward" He replied. "Ok Declan, I'm Dr Natasha, I'm going to look at your report card okay" I said in a soft voice. "Okay" he said as he shrugged his shoulders. After looking at his report it was confirmed he had leukemia. I looked at him thinking "but he's only 7". I smiled at him again. "It's ok he said. "I know". "What is it that you know Declan" I said curiously. Before he could reply Zain had come in between the bed and me. "Yes, Dr Malik" I asked him as I looked puzzled. "Bulls-eye I need some paper and a pen, "Dr Carlos is totally grilling me" I took out some paper and handed it to him with a pen. "here" So you wana go have lunch together, he said. "I'm in the middle of something, so if you don't mind" I said sternly.
He moved away. "What is it that you know Declan" I asked again. "Its leukemia isn't it. I wasn't too sure as to if he asking me a rhetorical question or was he trying to confirm his suspicions. I was about to open my mouth to say something he said "it's okay, I know I will be better. Dr Abraham told me so, A lymph node biopsy" I took a book out from under his pillow. Leukemia. I smiled at him. "Well Declan I have total faith in Dr Abraham, we will do absolutely everything we can to make you feel better" "Me too" Declan replied. "Excuse me Declan" I said as I turned around to write something on my note pad.
To my surprise Dr Carlos was standing in front of me. "You have the potential in becoming a good doctor" she said as she walked off. I smiled, looked back at Declan and walked towards the bed in font of me, where Amber was standing. "Why don't you be quiet and let me write" She said to the little girl lying in her bed. "Amber, what's wrong" I asked. "Tasha please just go away okay" she demanded. "But what happened, You didn't even wait for me this morning, I had to catch the bus" I said softly. "Ohh buuu hoo, Tasha. Why don't you grow up? She said loudly for everyone to hear. "Dr Carlos told me I needed all the support I can get to become a doctor, She thinks I'm not good enough, the last thing I need is for my little sister to be banging on about how she had to catch the bus" She replied angrily and walked off. I smiled at the little girl, who was looking at me, she smiled back and I walked off back to the locker room.
"Hi, I'm Ryaan, I looked up and saw one of the other interns standing in front of me. He was tall, a medium built, had brown eyes and black hair. "Hi, Natasha" I replied back. "So Amber is your sister? She's Pretty" He said with fascination as he looked at her. "Yea she is" I said in a dull voice. "Hey, look I know its none of my business but I just wanted to say that, She shouldn't had shouted at you like that, that was mean" He said. "Yea, like totally" Said Imani. "Imani Shah" she said as she put out her hand. "Natasha" I replied. "You mean Natasha Abraham, We know, you're like the heads daughter". Yea" I said. I could help but notice Imani's thick Brummie accent. She was wearing a white tunic with golden embellishments on it on top of a pair of jeans. "Lets go have lunch" Said Ryaan. "Okay then" I said. I looked over at Amber. She was sitting on the bench with Zain. He looked at me, moved his head in a negative signal. "What did he mean" I thought to myself as I walked out the door.
