911 Recordings Indicate Problems for Demi Moore
911 recordings indicate that Demi Moore may have overdosed early last week, though the exact details of whatever she was smoking was redacted from the official record.
The tribulations of Demi Moore as she adjusts to life without her much younger husband (now ex) Ashton Kutcher are fairly well-known. A night out on the town, some innocent flirting with some actors, then a trip for treatment for "exhaustion." More details have come out, of course, including the contents of a 911 call that was made after Moore began convulsing. The call came in from friends of Moore, who was described as "semi-conscious" when the call was made. A source told 911 emergency operators that Moore had smoked something prior to be rushed to the hospital early last week.
The operator asked if Moore was breathing normally, to which the friend replied (on the recording), "No, not normal. More kind of shaking, convulsing, burning up." Another woman apparently seated next to Moore reportedly then said, "Demi, can you hear me? Yes, she’s squeezing hands. She can’t speak." Asked what it was that Demi smoked, a friend answered on the recording, but it has been redacted. The operator replied soon after, "Whatever she took, make sure you have it out for the paramedics."
Asked if something similar had ever happened before, the friend replied, "I don’t know. There’s been some stuff recently that we’re all just finding out." This latest news is an indication that life can be particularly brutal for actresses who have made it big in Hollywood based largely on their looks. At 49, no matter how hard they work out and how many plastic surgeries they have, they’re no longer able to play 30-somethings in their films and, in Moore’s case, no longer able to keep their 30-something husbands. That life, built on physical appearance, can start to turn south in a hurry if the actress’s self of sense-worth is tied to closely to their looks.
