Story Ideas

Here are some story starters for the writers that are good at writing but sometimes lack the spark of imagination. (Otherwise called writer's block) I hope you enjoy them and use them. (Please if you do use them leave the title of it so I can read it comment back. I'd love to read it!)

1) Girl is tomboyish/nerdy and is forced to move in with her older, totally girly, sister and toddler niece. She adjusts to her new environment and her makeover to 'becoming a woman' as her sister called it. Her sister (Who says she'll never love a man after one left her and her baby.) Falls for a player guy that's just as emotionally rough around the edge as her. - inspired by my real life.

2) A group of mix and mashed up teenagers get forced as social study partners. After school, during detention for arguing, a crystal artifact transports them into the past. During the first journey through time they lose one of their partners and have to continue back to find him/her. - inspired by school.

3) Girl is what you call an ugly misfit; an odd stranger comes and says he'll make her pretty on one condition: She does whatever he says. Thinking of her crush (That's also her sister's boyfriend) She says yes. Then the man forces her on a rampage of killing and if she defies him he literally gets in her head. - inspired mildly by a novel called 'the pretty ones' (Expect this is more horror).

4) Girl is 12 and gets in a coma for a couple of years and when she wakes up, she's a young woman. She has to deal with physical changes and emotional too, not to mention everyone treating her differently and the starting of young love and peer pressure. - inspired by game.

5) Girl gets kidnapped (She's engaged) and forced into human trafficking by an evil Mexican drug lord. Then shortly after he's killed his son steps into his place but he isn't the usual killer prototype. The girl sees she's falling for the enemy. Will she give up everything that she was and wanted to be for him? - inspired by homework (odd but true!).

6) Girl is new at school and just finds out the guy she's attracted to is a vampire. Then her friend turns up... Suspects appear: Girl's crush, other teen vampires (That have a blood rival against crush), dead girl's stalker and spiteful popular girls. - inspired by game.

7) A girl gets kidnapped and experimented on. She gets sick with a virus that is making her physically the 'perfect girl' but killing the real her. (Turing her into a psychopathic assassin) She and a group of social rebels that are called crazy by people, start on the search for the scientist that created the disease. After she finds him/her, her crush ends up being the scientist's son. - inspired by a dream.

8) Three sisters (Who are orphaned) Find papers showing them that their parents were vampire hunters and killed by the king of vampires. This tale is about them running from the law and reaching dead ends. Then outsmarting the head vampire. (That got that position for a reason.) - inspired by me.

Good Eras (In my opinion) to set stories in:
- Medieval
- Wild West
- Gypsies/Pirates
- Prohibition era
- Ancient Greek/Roman
- Japanese samurai
- Ancient Egyptian
- Italian Renaissance
- 50's/60's (during the world wars)

So there, I hope it helps! X and O's fellow writers! Please comment if you are writing one! I'd love to read it and help comment on it!

Remember the most important part of writing is your characters! They make the book worth reading!
So... Did you like it?
