Base your hypothesis on this fact and that iron is very magnetic because it makes the plant lean.

Are fruits and vegetables electronically charged?
Do you think potatoes have high levels of charge in them? For this particular experiment, we need potatoes, lime, and multimeter, and let's see if we can find the answer. First, insert the probes in the potato and take the amp reading when the probes are far apart and again when they are closer in the vegetable. Follow the procedure with the lime and collect data for both. This project is really interesting and not at all difficult to conduct.

Can you predict sizes by forming craters?
Scientifically speaking, if you throw an object which is prominent in size and has a considerable amount of speed, the size of a crater will be large as well. Drop different sized objects from various heights and record the data. Continue this process for approximately 100 times. Once you have collected enough statistics, see if you are able to predict the accurate size of the crater.

Which material is the best insulator to keep ice in its form for a longer time?
Collect different types of insulators and make 5 to 6 ice sculptures. Place each ice sculpture in different insulators and set them aside for sometime. Check the sculptures in 5 minutes, then 10 minutes, and so on. See which sculpture has melted faster and note each findings. Based on the experiment, you can determine which material can make the best insulator.

Does an electric bulb help evaporate water faster?
You need couple of electric bulbs, preferably with high watts, 2 glass jars, and electric sockets. Keep one jar filled with water in regular lighting, like the sun or the natural light in your room. Follow the procedure for the second jar and this time, keep it exposed to the electric bulb. Take measurements at different intervals and note your findings to make a conclusion.

Is there any connection between lung capacity and a person's age, size, or sex?
Before we start, you will need an instrument called spirometer, which is easily available from the school nurse or any respiratory therapist. The spirometer will measure the amount of air exhaled by each individual. Ask your subjects to take a deep breath and exhale into the spirometer. Record your findings and conclude whether your question has been answered or not. This experiment motivates your child to improve his/her math and learn biology as well.
