5 Keyword Density Tips to Annihilate Your Competition

Have you ever wanted to get your website ranked first page of Google? Now you can, by following a few simple guidelines explained in this article.
If you're serious about achieving high search engine rankings for content you post online, you'll want to make keyword density your number objective. A highly effective method of search engine optimization is to focus on keyword density for all content you post on your website, articles you write and just about any form of written material you have online. This is one of the key ingredients search engines look for when deciding what ranking to give a site.

Keyword density refers to the percentage of a particular word that shows up throughout your content. For example, if you've written an article that is 500 words long and your specific keyword shows up 15 times throughout that article, you have a density of 3% (15 / 500).

Here are 5 tips to get the most out of your web content:

1. Achieve 3% keyword density. There is much discussion over what percentage keyword density you should aim for. As a general rule 3% is a good start. As you get more advanced in your search engine optimization efforts, start experimenting with other percentages, but to start off with, aim for 3%.

2. Latent Semantic Indexing (LSI). You might have seen websites that rank highly in the search engines but have a low keyword density. One possibility is they achieved this high ranking through Latent Semantic Indexing. This is basically where you use words that are related to your main keyword instead of using your main keyword over and over again. A great way to find related words is by using Google's Keyword Tool.

3. Include keyword in title. Whether you're writing an article or developing content for your website, always include the main keyword in the title. This helps the search engines know what your page is about.

4. Include keyword as last word of content. Always finish off your articles by stating your keyword. Let's say my keyword is "internet marketing." One way you can do this, is by finishing off your article with "And that's all I know about internet marketing."

5. Include keyword in hyperlink. When writing articles you have the option of attaching a link in your bio box. Always use your keyword as the hyperlink to your website. This is another way you can include more keywords in your content without over doing it.

If you have the ambition to see your website ranked first page Google, keyword density is something you definitely need to master. Sure, there are other things that come into achieving a high search engine ranking but keyword density is one of the easiest to conquer. Start by researching your words using the Google Keyword Tool to determine what words are most relevant for the topic you're talking about and then follow the tips suggested above. The quicker you get started, the faster you'll see your site moving up the ranks in the search engines.
