Secrets: Chapter 1
Well I'm a new author:) And I just want you guys to check out this story.. I want at least one comment or something I just want to know someone reads it... so enjoy:D
I didn't expect the house to be like this, all new and big. I didn't expect it to have such a nice yard or it to be so prim and proper. But then again what did I expect? Now that I had to come live with her I didn't know what to think.
I didn't belong here. I belonged back in the Chicago not in the small town of Ilwaco Washington population:993 population now:994. If you crossed the Astoria bridge this was the first town you would see. It was cold and dark here. It was misting the air was moist. The upside was the beach was only 30 minutes away on foot.
"Aaliyah can you come get your stuff from the car?" That snapped me out of my thoughts. I went back to the big truck. Leilani, my sister was standing there with her husband Joseph.
"Yeah sure." They just stared at me as I went into the trunk and got my duffle bag and 2 suitcases of clothes. Their faces full of concern. Why did they care so much? I haven't seen my sister in over 5 years no contact nothing.
Were we supposed to be buddy buddy now sense she decided to take me in I didn't think so.
"You need help with that?" Joseph asked. I shook my head. But when I dropped the duffle he didn't ask and took it out of my hands. He gave me a slight smile.
"Comeone Alllie I'll show you your room." Allie? Really when was this decided? He lead me up the marbled steps that spiraled all the way to the top. They seemed to go on forever.
We got to the wooden door and Joseph pushed it open. The room was huge. With its vaulted ceilings.
There was a huge bed right in the middle that had a lot of throw pillows. The theme here was clearly lavender. I had to admit that i liked the window seat and the mac computer in the corner. The closet was also huge. There was also a huge vanity with tons of make up and toiletries. I felt a slender hand touch my shoulder.
"Get settled in and dinner will be in a few minutes." I shook my head.
"I'm not eating." I moved from her touch. Joseph was in the corner putting my suitcases on the bed.
"You sure?"
"Yeah I'm tired I'm going to bed."
"Well Aaliyah tomorrow We will go to the highschool and register you."
"Ok that sounds good." I went to the closet and tried to look busy. The smell of fresh carpet and new paint made my nose wrinkle. With that they were gone. I looked at everything so shiny and new while I was plain and old like I said I don't belong here...
