Untitled - 2

Still NO IDEA what to call my story. By-the-by, thanks for your input, people! I got a pretty big response from u guys. Would you mind helping out a newbie like me and offer some pointers? Comment peas! (and carrots! ha..ha what a lame joke) offensive
**ONE THING I FORGOT TO ADD!**
I'm sorry i didn't get this edited in time, but in Untitled #1 i failed to mention that Sammy, the main girl in the story, already has a boyfriend, named Josh Hendrich. And that is why it is such a huge deal that she said she liked someone else...because she's supposed to be "in love" with Josh. Who, by the way, is a quarter back on the Hill High Football team. Also, someone you don't want to mess with.
My apologies for not editing it to perfection!
Ok. I'm done. Go ahead and read, y'all!
******************************************************
"Thank you, Miss Hernbart, for wasting the rest of our precious class time with your note. I do believe you'll think twice before writing any more of those again in MY classroom." growled Mrs. Laroue over the obnoxious 'ding' of the bell.
The students raced out of the class, chattering loudly. Finn was the last to leave, still trying to process the current events in his head.
He was, in short, amazed. he didn't even know Sammy, let alone like her. He could go up to her and tell her how he felt...but that would be weird. And uncomfortable. This whole thing was just too..."not his thing." he didn't know how to explain to the Queenbee that he wasn't interested. Finn was a no- nonsense kind of guy; the practical type. Crushes weren't his forte, to say the least.

And another thing: Sammyw as going out with Josh. Maybe you're allowed to like other people when your dating someone, Finn thought. And maybe its acceptable to write notes and send them to your friends letting them know about it. But wasn't that cheating?
None of this was making any sense.

In the hall, Finn (still engrossed in his own racing thoughts) ran smack into Sammy herself. "Woa, 'excuse me." mumbled Finn before it dawned on him who it was exactly he was speaking to. Now, Sammy was a very beautiful, delicate looking girl. Defiantly the type for which blonde jokes were made in the first place.
Her lips were pursed, her whole face perfectly brushed with a layer of tasteful makeup....everything about her was pretty.
So most would think that this meant she was a slow-witted dip-stick. Someone you'd expect to always say something nice and sweet.

So, it was a bit of a shock when Sammy opened her mouth and snarled, "Oh, its you! Well, it's about time. what were you doing in there? Never mind. I need to talk to you, right now. And don't tell me your busy. Like HECK your busy! I'm busy, alright? Busy trying not to keep myself from strangling you for moving your fat head when I was trying to throw that paper at Ryan W.!"
"...Excuse me?"
"None of that in there was about you, got it?"
"What are you...do you mean the-?"
"Yes, genius. The note. It had NOTHING to do with you."
"Then why-"

"If you must know," interrupted Courtney Brookes, who had magically appeared beside them in the crowded hallway, "She was trying to throw it at the guy she actually likes. Ryan. That cutie who sits next to you? Him! Not you! But you moved!" She giggled mindlessly.
Sammy sighed; a sad, tired sound. Finn might not have been a huge romantic, but he knew beautiful when he saw it. And Sammy was it. Even if she was acting like a nasty piece of work. He wondered vaguely if his staring was overly obvious, or if Sammy couldn't even tell anymore. After all, she probably got ogled at quite a bit.
"Frank? Uh, Flush? Whatever your name is? Hello?" shouted Courtney, snapping in his face rudely.

"Sorry. Must've...just spaced out there for a second..." Finn shook his head, coming back to reality. "And the name's Finn."
"Whatever. Like I care."
Finn was liking this Brooke's girl less and less.
"I just need to know that you aren't going to tell anybody about this." Stammered Sammy suddenly. "You aren't going to tell, right? I mean, I seriously need you to not go there. I can't...I mean...Its really known of your business, but...if you respect me at all you won't say a THING. About this, about me liking Ryan...not that I do! Just...you won't right? Not to be rude or anything, but like, I can't have you thinking I like you 'cus I SO don't. i mean, isn't that a bit of a scratch to even think that i would?"

"What?" Finn asked, incredulous.
Sammy laughed, a scornful, bitter sound. Much different from the happy giggle she'd let loose in class a few moments before.
"This may be more difficult than I expected." she explained to Courtney.
"I. DON'T. LIKE. YOU. I am, frankly, SO out of your league. Sorry to disappoint."
Finn narrowed his eyes. This chick was making his blood boil, and it took a lot to get Finn angry, even on his worse days.

"Forget about last class. Just... I'll pay you, okay? I'll give you fifty dollars if you keep shut. Just don't tell anybody!"
"I think," Finn forced through clenched teeth, "everyone already knows. Sorry to, as you say, disappoint. Why are you asking me to keep shut when you really should be chasing down our whole class?"
Courtney annoyingly tried to interject.
"What's she's trying to say is-"
"Yea I get it. Don't hurt yourself." Finn muttered, tired of the whole exchange. "I have to get to class now. Good luck with your love life." And with that, he was gone, striding down the hallway, rolling his eyes to himself. Girls and there petty problems. Sheesh. The whole situation was so stupid.

Sammy and Courtney were left gawking after him.
"You know," muttered Courtney after they'd turned in silence to hurry to their next class together, "If he wasn't such a complete A-hole..."
"Oh come on, Courtney! He's such a loser."
Sammy snapped (her ego had been brutally wounded).
"I can't even believe you'd begin to even think that about HIM of all people."
"But he's gorgeous!"

"Could you believe how he treated me? He didn't even act...polite! There's probably something wrong with him. What a rude little....ugh!"
It was silent for a moment. Then..
"What are you going to do when Josh finds out?"
"What do you mean, 'when'?!"
"Well...Finn was right. I mean, now everyone knows! Its kinda funny actually. I wonder if they make romantic-comedies about stuff like this." Courtney giggled, then gasped as a new thought struck her. "OMG! Can I tell just one person about what happened today? I mean, it is SUCH a great story-"

"Courtney?"
"Yes?"
"If you tell anyone, so help me I will personally rip out your eyes and then proceed to tell the rest of our grade about how you wet your pants yesterday."
Courtney sniffed softly.
"Can you at least just tell me what you're planning to do? You know...when Josh does eventually find out from... somebody?"
The two girls stopped. They were right outside their Biology class, with only a few more minutes left until the next bell would ring.
Sammy faced Courtney, and her face had changed from enraged to terrified.
"If Josh finds out...he'll kill me."
The scary part was, that Sammy wasn't exaggerating.
What grade would you give it so far?
