Love & Hate
Read it and you will be educated in the subject of love and hate.
The two most powerful passions on the earth. They control our actions, attitude, thoughts, views, intentions, and pretty much everything else in our life. The feelings they bring. They make you express things you may not have normally. It is love and hate.
The definition of love is a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person, strong predilection, enthusiasm, or liking. There are all different kinds of love and different thoughts about it from different people. Love usually makes one happy, but sometimes it is painful. Some don't take it as seriously as others. But no matter who you are, it will affect you. My definition of love for something is that you'd do anything to make it happy, you'll give them anything they want, you'll crush the person who makes them cry. The highlight of your days is when you're with them. *Side by Side, Or Miles Apart, They are FOREVER Close To Your Heart.* <3
Hollywood wants to make you think they know what love is. But love is not what you see in the movies it's not the ecstasy. True love is sacrifice. Love is thinking about others before you think about yourself. Love is when you lay down your life for another.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres.
God is love and love is God. There is no greater love than he who lays down his life for another. The definition of love is Jesus Christ. He is love. The nails in His hands, the thorns in His brow, hanging on the cross for all of our sins; He died for me and you while we still hates him. That is perfect love.
Love never fails. Love is everlasting, it's eternal. Love is the only thing that will last when you die.
The definition of hate is intense dislike; extreme aversion or hostility. Hatred is often associated with anger, but sometimes pain as well, regret, bitterness, or scorn. As you can see, love and hate are both strong emotions, but different emotions at that.
Love and hate are not opposites, because they are both emotions, and can be strong emotions at that. A way they are similar is their effects. They can make you do, think, and want things. Love and hate can control everything you do. Both are felt with passion and take energy. For example, if you love or hate someone or something, you will go out of your way to do something to it. Love and hate both leave scars, whether ugly or beautiful ones. They are often seemingly irrational and can lead a person to either heroic or evil deeds. Hate can also be an all-consuming passion like love; they can make you lose your mind or only steal your focus on everything else. These two different feelings can lead to the same behavior. While they are similar in many ways, love and hate also have differences.
The difference between them is what exactly they make you feel and express. Love is a soft feeling, where you try to make your object of affection feel good, and love you back. When you hate something, you want to hurt it, you want to destroy it, you want to make it feel as bad as you. As Martin Luther King Jr. said, "Hatred paralyzes life; love releases it. Hatred confuses life; love harmonizes it. Hatred darkens life; love illumines it."
While these two states of mind are similar, how they affect you is the thing that brings out the differences. Love and hate are the most controlling and effectual feelings out there. They're similar because they both bring out intense effects and feelings, but different in what the effects are and how and what they make you express.
Two passions, so different yet so alike.
