She felt betrayed by those men and didn't want to sleep or fall prey to them ever again. She didn't have anymore relatives in the area that she was able to speak with. She could speak with her sister Sonya. It was a long trek to her sisters though. She would have to go through a big mountain where there was a little family of storm magic users who had been studying how to use the rain to fill their water hole. And now as she was toying with the idea about going and seeing her sister and telling her what had happened many years ago. She didn't want to make her sister angry. In the spring around the area it had been nice sense the trek back farther than she has been away from Cold Peaks. It wasn't a very good feeling of late for her though. She missed her son and her grandson and she made that mistake of getting them both involved in her magic use. It was her fault that she took them in and she had the right to be angry but she didn't know how they would feel if they were here today seeing her going mad and killing every men that she sees around the cold valley.
It was a very thin challenge for Desire to make the first spell of many years. She had two twigs from a tree that was rarely seen called the Fretful tree. This was only one of many spells that she would use to get into the mans' base. Their villages and their kingdom was no more bigger than the valley around it. The name was called Order of the Dead. They knew only one thing and she was to stop them with this one spell who makes anyone worry who it is cast upon. When it was finished she would go about looking for a way into the Order of the Dead's center room. She knew of this place because when she was a girl she was walking through there with her mom and dad. It was a very strange scene as she remembered but she knew that there were too many men guarding the center room. As she sat there on the hill she could see a young man reading a book. He was near a river.
He was sitting there going through this book and reading out loud to himself. She knew never to bother anyone that had a book but he was not part of this Order of the Dead and she knew that he was no threat to her. She decided to watch him for a while from afar and not go down there to see what he was reading. But he didn't know that she was looking at him. Up on a hill across the river though, was a couple of the Order of the Dead walking down towards the river, with their daggers in their hands and walking as they knew where they were going. They saw the young man sitting there across the river. They were looking at each other and pointing at the young man. Desire saw this from afar and knew what was next. She didn't like to get involved in people's miss-treatments but didn't want the order of the dead to take this young mans life. As she was standing now and walking fast as she could down towards the young man. She could see the strides in which the men wanted to make their presence known. The two men walked gradually across the river easily making no noise.
The young man still reading his book out loud. Desire on her way as fast as she could possibly run. She was now making words come from her breath. She spoke them for faster speed. "Make Me Run Faster With The Speed of the Cheetah.", and with the stride much faster she got closed to the man with little effort. He suddenly looked up to see her face and put down the book. He could see she was looking over his head and looked back as well. He noticed that there was two man coming towards him with their daggers drawn. She had only two choices, and that was to make haste with the boy and start running full throttle back towards where she stood last time. The run was a brisk run as she stated the words again for faster speed. She was long gone with the man in her arm with the speed of a cheetah up on that hill. She put the man down and looked toward the two men. They had no clue what just happen.
But they did see her before she took off running and they couldn't make out the direction she went off to. The book was also in her hands and the man looked up as he was clutching his stomach. "Don't worry my friend those men will not hurt you here". "What is your name young man?" The boy looked at her. " My name is Felix and your name?" Still clutching his stomach and on the verge of getting sick all over the grassy land. She looked towards him now as she stood there. "My name is Desire the Witch Tracker of these lands". Felix now got up to run away. The hand that grabbed him brought him down with force. " Stay down please! "We don't want them to know where we are." And at that moment he stood there with fear in his mind and heart. The sun was starting to go down and the moon would soon be up.
That was when the wolves would be around looking for food in these parts. So as the sun came down the both of them walked along the river in the evening. The clouds were showing bits of stars here and there through the clouds. The open mass of valley was welcoming to Felix who was always walking around looking for a place to rest his head. They both walked in silence though as they both seen a little den for both to sleep in. There was a sleeping cover to cover one of them and as he knew it the Witch Tracker gave him the blanket. Both slept for the night.
