TIP: find a need and fill it. If you are catering to professionals, then your website needs to be professional. If it is about fun, then it needs to be fun, colorful and happy. Take the time to research what others are doing, and make it your goal to be better.
3. Driving traffic to your website- there are a number of ways to do this. You can do it for FREE or you can pay. I personally think you should explore all the FREE ways before you look at paying. In my experience to begin with, you need to have very deep pockets to keep up with PPC, and lots of experience. You could find yourself having to pay out hundreds of dollars, and no visitors to your site.
I have known people who have gone this way, and then quit because they believed that having an Internet business didn’t work. That’s not you, do your homework.
4. Build credibility- it is absolutely crucial to earn the trust of potential clients. Believe me if you take the time to do this, you will be way ahead of your competition. I am always amazed at the number of people who work hard to get clients, and then forget them. They would rather look for new clients, than look after the ones they already have. I know which one I would rather put my effort in to.
5. Use testimonials- Your most satisfied customers will be glad to give you a testimonial. Make sure you get a picture, and always say where they are from. It doesn’t look as if you have made it up.
TIP: Post these testimonials on your blog as well. Testimonials help convince potential clients that your products or service are well worth buying.
