5 Baby Shower Idea Games

Yikes! You have taken on the big responsibility of planning a baby shower! And, let’s face it…baby showers are fun for the mommy to be, but they can get a bit tedious for all of the guests. Think "oohing" and "ahhing" over yet another onsie or diaper champ! Here are five fun baby shower game ideas to jazz up that shower and make you look like a party planner extraordinaire.

1. Prior to the shower, ask your guests to contribute a baby picture of themselves. Create a "baby match" game. Hold up each baby picture and see if the guests can match it to that guest now. The guest with the most matches is the winner!

2. Have your guess guest the 10 most common baby names today. Search for "popular baby names" on the Internet to determine what these are. The guest with the most names that match the list is the winner!

3. Blindfold diaper racing is always fun! For this game, you will need two dolls, two diapers and two blindfolds. Have two guests compete to see who can diaper the doll the fastest blindfolded. Each winner receives a small prize!

4. Create a mommy and daddy trivia game. Compile baby trivia about each parent (i.e. weight at birth, first words, day of week born, etc). The guest who answers the most trivia questions correctly is the winner.

5. Have your guest guess "What’s in the diaper". Melt or smash different kinds of candy (m&m's, snickers, baby ruth, skittles) and put into a diaper. Then pass the diapers with the smashed candy in it around the room. Each guest must examine and smell the contents of the diaper to determine what the candy it is. Have each guest write their guesses on a piece of paper. The guest with the most matches is the winner!
