4th Of July Party Tips
4th of July is a great time to throw a party.
One of the biggest holidays of the summer, and for that part of the year, is the 4th of July. It is usually the kick off to summer season, and a great time to get friends and family together to celebrate. Many people may go to on some form of vacation or some people may choose to stay home and get everyone together. If you are thinking about bringing friends and family to celebrate this great holiday then this is the perfect article for you.
Before you even begin to think of who you are going to invite to your 4th of July party you will need to pick a location to have everyone over. It is important that you pick a spot that will be convenient for everyone. Choosing your house may sound like the best idea for you, but will it be best for everyone? Is your house big enough for everyone to be comfortable?
You may want to choose a place like a local or neighborhood pool. This is a great idea for many reasons. First of all you will have plenty of room for everyone to enjoy themselves and interact with one another. Another reason it is a good idea is because you are right there near the pool. It is more than likely going to be a rather hot day, and there is nothing better than taking a refreshing dip in the pool. If you do plan on having your party near the pool, be sure to have an adult watch over the pool at all times for safety reasons.
Once you have picked out your location for the party you can determine how many people to invite. This is a great time for a casual gathering of friends and family, but also think about inviting some new people. Extend and invitation to some neighbors or office colleagues. Since it is such a great time, you can get to know some people a little better.
Ok so now you have a place for everyone to come to and you have an idea as to how many people are coming. The next step is to arrange for all the food and drinks.
For food you are going to need and be very diverse as well as plentiful. There is no way that you can possibly assume how much each person is going to eat, but you will need to plan ahead. Be sure to have enough for everyone to have something. You surely do not want anyone to be unhappy because they did not get anything to eat.
One way to help yourself out in this situation is to ask people to bring some of their favorite dishes. This will certainly help take a load off of you, and you will be sure to have something that they like involved.
Be sure to have an array of items to eat as well. Some people may be picky eaters, but you need to have some different items that people will enjoy. This does not mean you have to go and buy out the supermarket, but just have a sampling of a few different things.
When making a drink list you are going to have to do pretty much the same thing as you did for food and mix it up. More than likely the drink of choice will be some form of alcoholic beverage, but that is not the only thing you will need to provide. Have plenty of non alcoholic beverages such as sodas and water. It is going to be a hot day and everyone should stay hydrated. Also, if children are going to be involved then they will need some juices or water. This is another time you can ask people to pitch in and bring a drink or two.
One more important thing to do is have plenty of ice for both the drinks and food. You do not want the food to get spoiled or have the drinks go warm
