4th of July Party Games
The United States of America celebrates its independence day on the 4th of July. Goes without saying, it is a day for celebration. Read on for games that you can play in your 4th of July party.
Game# 1
This one is my favorite, and hence, first in the list. Each individual participating in the game has to write the name of each and every state in the USA within a span of 3 minutes. Seems easy? No prior intimation and no referring to the map. It is fun, and can get frustrating. Keep in mind, this game is for people who have graduated from high school at least. School children may find it insanely easy.
Game# 2
Another game is, the host can make a list of all the capital cities and keep space on the right for the participants to write the names of the states they belong to on the right side of the respective cities. A span of 4 - 5 minutes can be given to the participants. Any more than that and the game might get boring.
Game# 3
In case it is a family gathering, or a gathering of a lot of families, the host can have this game for the children. It is more like a pageant. The children have to dress in the regional attire of a specific state. The children can choose which state would they want to dress up as. The winner can be the one who has put in enough thought into the dress and really represents the state they have selected well.
Game# 4
Another game for the dear little ones is flag relay. I am sure you have tried this out in the past. The host needs to stipulate a certain race track. The children are divided into teams and are made to stand at an appropriate distance from one another. The first kid is handed a flag. The first has to run with the flag to the second and the second to the third and then back to the first. The first team to complete the cycle wins.
Game# 5
America is a country of dreams. It's the place where dreams come true. The next game plays on, just, that sentiment. Each participant (irrespective of age) writes down his/her most ambitious dream. There is no winner or loser in this game. Once every one has finished writing, each one can come up and read it out to the rest. This game is great to foster family bonding, and a lot of fun too!
Such occasions are a great time to get the family together. Whether it is with games or food, the point is to spend some well-needed quality time with each other. And for that, 5 games are more than enough. Let's not forget, there are the fireworks to be seen at night too. What a wonderful night!
