Broken

A girl fighting for what she wants.
"Come on you will love it," Brad told her as he followed her around. He is like her best girlfriend. "I mean there are going to be tons of hot guys there and you haven't been out since you and Harley split."
Taylor rolled her eyes. "I have no time for boys Brad, you know that." She said as she picked up the tickets off the counter. She worked at a Mega arcade that everyone loved. It has a glow in the dark putt course, a go-cart track, basic arcade games, bowling alley, bumper boats, pizza parlor with the towns greatest pizza and three singing booths.

"Taylor you are a little hottie and you need to get out and meet people!" he said then ran his fingers through his dyed blond hair. "I think you are just afraid that someone else will hit you and cheat on you again."
Taylor stopped and turned around to look at him. "Brad, I do not want to talk about this now okay?"
"No huney we are going to talk about this now, it's been six months."

Taylor just rolled her eyes and walked away. She didn't want to think about that right now, she had a job to do and didn't have time for this. She grabbed the clipboard then walked into the back of the arcade. She decided to take a break.
"Did you think I wouldn't find you back here or something?" Brad asked as he walked into the breakroom. "I know you want to go and I know you don't have to work because I just checked your schedule. Why won't you just admit it?"

"Because I really don't want to go!" she said angrily as she stood up. "I don't want to meet anyone! I am not going now please just leave me alone!"
Brad grabbed her by the shoulders and stared down into her eyes. "Stop running!"
"I am only running away from you!" she said as she looked up at him angrily.
"Well I am stopping you! Come on Miranda is coming too."
"I don't want to go! Stop pressuring me to go out and meet guys! I don't need a man!"
"Yeah you do!" He said. "We are worrying about you sweetie!"

"Don't," she said then pushed passed him. She walked out of the arcade to see her manager talking to this little kids mom. The poor kid is pulling on his moms skirt but she is to distracted by her dirt bag manager. She clocked out then went out to her car in the back. A bunch of skateboarders were in the skate part today, she loved watching them on her breaks. Some of them are actually pretty talented.

She got in her beat up buick, drove home then quickly walked into the house. She walked back to her room and locked the door three times. She had to protect herself from the people her dad just let in and out of here. She has knives stashed everywhere just in case. She knew her dad was a drug dealer but he always tried to hide it. She got a scholarship to one of the top schools in the state by being smart, did he honestly think she wouldn't pick up on his habit?
Dumb ass.

She got her bag out and started doing her homework, she has so much to do. She swears that the teachers get off on giving them tons of homework. She laid back on her bed and sighed. She heard Mirandas secret knock on the window so she got up and opened the curtain to see her bestie standing there smiling.

"Hey," Taylor smiled as she helped Miranda into her room.
"Sup girly," she said then sat down on Taylors bed. "So Brad harassing you?"
"He told you I take it?"
"He tells me everything unfortunately." she rolled her eyes. "So will you please go with me to that party?"

Taylor rolled her eyes. "I don't want to go."
"It's around that fancy school of yours!"
"Then absolutely not! I don't want to be around snotty bitches more than I have to!"
"But there is this hottie!" Miranda whined.
"I don't care, I am totally not interested." she said. "I have to study anyway."
"OH please!" Miranda said angrily. "You study all the time! I want you to come with us or I will not be your best friend! Yeah, totally went there!"
Taylor rolled her eyes. "Fine I will freakin' go but I don't want to stay long."
