Fear of Failure

How much do we succumb to the fear of failure?
Why do certain things in life affect us so bad and so strong? Not that we aren’t strong. A human being has been programmed in such a way, that he always salutes the rising sun. The fear of sinking is somehow ingrained in blood or genes, whatever you may choose to call it...so should I say, fear of failure is just another facet of a human personality?

Fear is not just about the plethora of phobias, but there are other dangerous kinds too! Fear of failing in exams, fear of breaking up in a relation, fear of being scorned at, fear of asking questions when one is unaware of its answers, fear of speaking the right thing at the right time, fear of what others think of self, fear of losing what is taken for granted and the list just goes on.....But there is one thing all these fears are directly associated with and that is the fear of failure! Fear of failure is the most unpleasant emotion which decays a personality fast.

Fear of failure breeds insecurity. In personal life, it eventually leads into the mouth of madness from where there is no turning back. On the work front, it is a professional death. But why does a man fear at all? What does he achieve by fearing? Any solace? Any solution, no! All he does is accumulate more fear with more insecurity. Some people are so blinded by fear of failure and are so drowned in diffidence, they tend to resort to superstitions and beliefs, believing that their destiny will change course! But is life a secured bank locker? Is it always a bed of roses, sans the thorns? Although the answer is apparent, the question still lingers. Fear cannot be extradited from a personality. But it definitely can be controlled, isn’t it?
