In many cases we will resort to buying what we think they would want instead of buying something they would cherish. To ensure we are doing this right, take a moment to see their true desires. Don't make this hard, it's quite easy. You may know that they are interested in reading books. You may even know a book that they have been eyeing for a while. Or consider good Christmas gifts to be a gift certificate from their preferred store.

Tip 2 - Know What is New and Exciting

You don’t have to spend a lot of money, but it could be rather important to recognize what the newest and hottest items are in this person’s interests are. This is easier than you can believe to discover. Really listen to this person when they are talking and soon, you’ll learn what is the most recent thing. Don’t discount anything and be sure to engage them on this item that they are interested in to really discover if it is just a passing fancy or something that they really would like.

Tip 3 - Hit The Shops With Them

Let's face it, they are difficult to buy for! I can find my darling wife like that.
