Release Me
This is about how the city and the country. Enjoy.
I miss those days when I used to wake up;
And look out my window and see the never ending sky;
Out here in the country it goes for miles on end;
But one day I visited the city and found out it did end;
But then again I never saw it begin after we entered the city;
All I could view was stone walls and metal buildings;
I missed the rolling hills and moving clouds;
Here in the city I miss the mooing cows;
I miss the forever rolling hills;
I even miss my old beat up chevy that needs fixin';
Here in the city I feel like a caged animal;
An animal waiting to be unleashed;
Release me from my steel cage;
I miss the country;
I miss the sky;
I miss the ever green grass;
Show me the way;
Show me the way home;
Show me a way out;
I want out;
Please release me from this cage;
I return to the never ending sky.
And look out my window and see the never ending sky;
Out here in the country it goes for miles on end;
But one day I visited the city and found out it did end;
But then again I never saw it begin after we entered the city;
All I could view was stone walls and metal buildings;

I return to the never ending sky.
