From The Author Of Lou's Life
IF YOU HAVE MISSED LOU, PLEASE READ!
Hi everyone! Just wanted to take a moment to explain what happened to Lou. I apologize for not posting any writing in January.
As most of you know, I am handicapped by the lack of a home computer. All my writing is saved on my PC at work. What you don't know is that I live in North Carolina. We have had a unusually heavy winter this year with lots of ice and snow everywhere. I mean we always get snow in the mountains, but in December, we had a blizzard with 16 inches and as I'm writing this tonight it is currently snowing again, with 14 inches in the forecast. There's at least 8" already on the ground. But I digress.........
On Dec. 29th, I slipped and fell on a patch of black ice walking across a parking lot and broke my right ankle. Needless to say, I have been laid up in the bed for six weeks in a cast and have been on medical leave at work. It's on the way to healing now, and now my doc has put me in what they call a "cam boot", which is a huge black, metal and cloth monstrosity that has velcro straps and makes me walk like I'm imitating Frankenstein, but at least I'm mobile.
To everybody that liked this story and has missed Lou: I am going to be back at work on Feb 1st and you can expect a few chapters posted soon after. Sorry for the delay, and if you stick with the story, i appreciate the loyalty. I can't wait to find out where Lou takes me next.
