Half-brother of England footballer Jermain Defoe dies following vicious daylight assault in London street
The half-brother of England footballer Jermain Defoe has died following a vicious daylight attack in a London street.
Scotland Yard announced a murder investigation yesterday after Jade Defoe, 26, died in a London hospital on Friday evening after suffering serious head injuries in the assault. Police said no weapon was used and they had yet to establish a motive for the attack last Monday on Defoe, a popular grime MC also known as Gavin and Esco Bars.
A 28-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice in connection with the investigation.
