England's John Terry Wary of Ukraine's 'big Player' Andriy Shevchenko

John Terry believes Andriy Shevchenko will have 'something to prove' when he confronts England on Wednesday
John Terry believes Andriy Shevchenko will feel he has "something to prove" when he confronts England on Wednesday having failed so miserably to illuminate the Premier League following his £30m move to Chelsea from Milan.

The Ukraine forward is now back at San Siro and, while he managed only nine Premier League goals in two seasons with the Londoners, the England captain remains wary of the threat he will pose in midweek.

"Things didn't go too well for him at Chelsea, but he is a quality player and a great finisher," said Terry. "When you forget about Sheva, he pops up with a goal. He has got a first-class touch and a great finish, and we'll need to be very aware of him. He is a big player for Ukraine.

"Whenever he goes back to play for the national team he feels the pressure is on him to perform, so he'll be coming to Wembley with two reasons to do well: he will feel he has something to prove to Chelsea, but he will also want to play well for his country."
