Steven Gerrard has returned to light training with Liverpool and remains on target for a comeback against Real Madrid
Steven Gerrard has returned to light training with Liverpool and remains on target to make his comeback from a hamstring tear against Real Madrid in the Champions League next week.
The Liverpool captain has been out for a fortnight since suffering the injury in the FA Cup defeat at Everton, but is optimistic of meeting his scheduled recovery date at the Bernaéu next Wednesday.
Juventus and Internazionale, meanwhile, are the latest clubs to register an interest in Daniel Agger, the Liverpool defender who remains in a contract dispute with the Anfield club and is eligible to buy-out the final 12 months of his existing deal this summer. The Dane's agent, Per Steffensen, has previously held talks with Milan officials over a possible move to San Siro.
