Everywhere was an uncomfortable silence and darkness. The only source of light was the moon.
Ruth was walking through the forest, while her hands were around her, rubbing her arms. Unknown to her path, she kept on walking.
Just then she heard a noise below her feet.
"Ahhh." She screamed and ran away.
She didn't know how far she went. She was sure she had lost her way. Sitting under the tree, she supported herself.
She wanted to cry, not because she was lost, but she don't know how her friends are. She wanted to find them but how will she, when she don't even know where they are. In fact she don't even know where she herself is.
She was trying to think what to do when she heard a wolf howling. She stood up & looked about her. Then she heard it again. She was scared, her mind went blank. Feeling something slimy at her feet, she looked down and saw a snake.
She screamed and ran away from there deep into the forest.
She was still screaming without looking ahead & bump into someone.
She was clutching into his collar very tight, while her eyes were shut closed.
He chuckled, "If you are so much afraid of this forest then why did you left alone?" She looked up and saw Jammie.
Frowning, she tried to push him but then she noticed his arms tightly around her waist. He noticed it too & drop his arm, releasing her.
"What are you doing here? Didn't you say you were going to search for our friends alone?" She asked with her hands folded on her chest.
"Shouldn't I be asking you the same question?" He said coolly.
She was going to reply but he interrupted, "Look. I ain't in the mood to pick up a fight with you. And I don't even know if we can find them alone. So it's better to work together in this search." He said seriously.
She wanted to argue but she knew that he is right.
She looked at him and nodded.
"Good," he turned around started waking, "And I'm sure, being as stupid as yourself, you don't even know the way." He chuckled.
She got angry and screamed at him, while he was grinning at her angry face...
