Stuttgart Crowd Roars for Hamilton
World champion received rapturous welcome from 65,000 fans on return to Mercedes-Benz Museum
Lewis Hamilton returned to the famed Mercedes-Benz Museum yesterday, where a crowd of 65,000 gave him a rapturous and deafening welcome.
It was here that the new Formula 1 world champion first saw the McLaren MP4-23, the car which last Sunday took him to an extraordinary victory in Brazil and set new records in motor racing.
The vast museum in Stuttgart was hosting the annual McLaren Mercedes Stars & Cars show, attended by numerous past and present Formula 1 and Formula 3 drivers, but it was the 23-year-old Hamilton who was besieged by well-wishers and fans.
