O'Sullivan Grinds Out Win in Glasgow
Ronnie O'Sullivan secured a hard-won 5-2 victory against Liang Wenbo to reach the last 16 of the Royal London Watches Grand Prix
Ronnie O'Sullivan dropped the first two frames, struggled to 2-2 and completed a 5-2 victory over China's world No40, Liang Wenbo, with a break of 103 to reach the last 16 of the Royal London Watches Grand Prix in Glasgow.
"That was bad. Some of my shots were amazingly off target," the three-times world champion said of his performance in the early frames.
The random draw for the last 16 pits O'Sullivan against Marco Fu, who beat him in last year's final. Allister Carter, beaten by O'Sullivan in the world final at The Crucible last spring, overcame Dave Harold 5-4.
